Season 4: Confrontation. One day, just flying through the city, enjoying the good weather and the direction of the wind, Peter gets a call from Aunt May. She asked him to come home as soon as possible, as she had an important conversation with Peter. Answering "I hear and obey" in his usual humorous form, he hung up and went downstairs because he saw two silhouettes with clearly bad intentions. It was Flint Marko and Alexander O'Hirn. Two criminals who had repeatedly evaded the police and even three times the spider himself, were finally caught. Peter flew home, changed, but despite the lights on in the house, Aunt May was nowhere to be found. He went into his room and saw her sitting on his bed. - Peter, I understand everything, work, this Spider-Man, but lately it's been happening more and more often and I'm afraid it's not always for a good reason. - Uhhh… Aunt May, what are you talking about? What reason? *Peter thought she had found out something* - Well, what's it about, Peter? You're coming home too late. I'm imposing a curfew. You have to be home by ten o'clock, no later. - But Aunt May… - No buts, Peter. Rules are rules. If the situation with Dr. Connors didn't let you go, then talk to me about it. Or to Dr. Octavius. *That's right, Dr. Octavius… just remembering and closing his eyes, Peter mumbled to himself* - Speaking of the doctor. I've been released from the hospital. - Wow, really? But Aunt May, was it worth it? I understand that I'm not some kind of Norman Osborn, but Spider-Man is still providing well for us. - Yes, Peter, and I'm proud of you, but I need to have some fun myself and I'm ready now. I can't just sit at home sometimes sipping tea with Mrs. Watson, feeling old all the time! - Aunt May, if you think so, then you're kidding yourself, and self-deception is bad! Yes… maybe it's a good decision. It's really worth it. And yes, I heard you and I'll try to make it by curfew. - You won't try, you'll make it! Aunt May smiled and kissed her beloved nephew on the cheek and they went to bed. That same night, Flint and Alex were shocked that even though they were the city's most agile and elusive criminals, they were caught by a pathetic bug! However, their anger quickly turned to astonishment: they were released on bail. The door to the cell opens and they are met by a silent blonde woman who offers them a ride. Peter was very happy to see his friend Harry. Even though his parents died along with Eddie's family, it was Harry who most often supported Peter in difficult times, and Peter, in turn, when he lost his mother. Harry spent a year and a half on vacation abroad with his father Norman Osborn, founder of Oscorp. After school, Harry invited Peter to see his father, but Peter had already missed one class with Dr. Octavius, so he hurried to his lab. - Hello, I'm Peter, Peter Parker. Dr. Octavius, I… - Peter, hello. I see you've lost track of time, since you only showed up today, or maybe you live far from the city, which is why you only showed up now. Anyway, I don't give second chances, so goodbye. To avoid disappointing Dr. Connors, let's create a legend that you are very busy. And deep down, I believe that it is indeed the case. - Maybe make an exception? Dr. Octavius, forgive me. Just understand, I'm a teenager, and you… you know who you are. *Otto smiled slightly* - And for every young man, it's a great honor to even just stand with you from a distance of eight meters, and not… - Don't worry, Parker, don't worry. Too loud a compliment hurts more than a slap. - Funny, when your mind tries to make sense of chaos. Forgive me. *Peter slowly turned around and wanted to leave* For the record: the weather today is clear, with occasional gusts of despair and anger, - Otto said with a kind of surprised admiration. Peter turned back in surprise. - When everything falls apart - and it always falls apart - the dreamer returns to the world.

- Maybe people need to go through tragedy to start doing what they love (Probably you need to suffer for real before you risk taking up your favorite thing.) - If you believe in graphology, when you take your index finger and trace someone's handwriting, or simply take a wooden stick or spoon and write over the written words, you can accurately feel what the writer felt when they made the inscription. And in general, I don't want to sound conceited, but it would be more symbolic if I said this quote. - Symbolism itself is worth nothing. It's not material. We just pretend to love. - That… that's well said. - Okay, Parker, you've drawn a lucky ticket. So be it, you will be an exception. It's not often you meet such a person at such a young age. - Thank you so much! After a while, Otto and Peter were sitting at a table in the workshop and had a tea party. - Connors told me about you. He said you're smart but rarely present. But because of the unfair treatment you received from his wife, he decided to give you a chance with me already. I don't want to put myself above Kurt, because we are both scientists, but for you it's a good growth up the golden ladder. And yet, Peter, one thing is literature, and another is more complex science. Can you surprise me? - I doubt I can surprise you, but… give me a sheet of paper. Taking a sheet of paper and a pen, Peter wrote down a mathematical equation, grouping terms with the same trigonometric functions, then simplified it, and equated the coefficients. - Not bad, Peter, not bad. Yes, it's really hard to surprise me with any equation, but you can do it gracefully enough, being a schoolboy. And you did. Well done. Kurt was not wrong about you. Peter thanked Otto for such kind words and hurried home by the time Aunt May had specified. Meanwhile, Otto went about his business. As it turned out, Flint and Alex were released by the efforts of Norman and Otto. Spider-Man was a big obstacle in their way, and Norman needs supersoldiers. Spider-Man is a great stimulus for the test. Plugins for the Rhino suit and the sand-controlling man were already embedded. They decided to start with Marko, especially choosing sand control. But Norman was not satisfied with creating only one soldier. - Wouldn't it be more logical to create them both at once? In that case, the chance of winning against Spider-Man would be many times higher. - Norman, you seem to not understand who we are dealing with. These are real psychopaths with pure brains. And they worked together. There's nothing stopping them from destroying everything here together, and with them a quarter of New York. Or do you no longer need the city to be whole? - I hear you, Octavius. As you wish. But the failure will be on your conscience.

The experiment began. Marco screamed in pain, the console started smoking, but Norman said, "Not yet." Marco was covered in welts and exploded. They wanted to call the next one, but a silhouette began to emerge from the pile of sand. Thus, the Sandman was born. Marco was told exactly what to do, but he just smirked and ran out of the car, transforming into a sandstorm. Otto was right. The next morning, when they were transporting money for the bank, Marco attacked the truck bed. The Spider-Man was flying nearby and jumped into the hole in the truck bed that Sandman had made. - Oh, little spider, here you are. - Oh, Marco, you're out. Guess God really frowns upon you if you're this lucky. But that's okay, you'll be under my watchful eye from now on! - I'd advise you to keep a closer eye on your own stare, insect. - Guess you don't know. I have sunglasses. - Fine. Flint turned his arm into a club and knocked the Spider-Man out of the truck bed. The Spider-Man caught on with his webs, stretched, and flew towards Marco, splitting him in half. The Spider-Man was shocked by what he saw, but Marco reassembled himself, flipping the truck bed in the process. The Spider-Man managed to get out and catch the truck, preventing anyone from getting hurt. In the end, everyone survived and Marco didn't manage to get the money. But Peter understood that he needed to be prepared. Arriving at school, Harry pestered him to try out for the football team. Initially, Peter refused, but seeing Flash's arrogance, he decided to agree. What was he going to say to his friend who had just returned home? Both Harry and Peter played well. The coach praised them, while Flash and his gang fumed. Harry had changed a lot in Peter's eyes. He started smoking, acted more recklessly, and for the most part, all his athletic efforts were to join Flash's team. This wasn't the friend Peter remembered, even though he was still happy to see him. Peter still visited him and saw Mr. Osborn. - Peter, hello. I heard your uncle passed away. My condolences. I know you were there when Harry's mom... let's not dredge up the past. - Yes, Mr. Osborn, I agree, and thank you. - I also saw your name in the newspapers. You're a photographer for the Bugle? Jameson is quite a charlatan, I've dealt with him. And though the photos are good, with your brain, you're capable of more. You know, I always have vacancies. - Thank you, but I want to go my own way. - That's commendable. Harry heard all of this and was a little envious of Peter. Norman always respected smart people, and Harry didn't particularly excel in that area, as there were always people better than him. But he saw sports as a good chance to attract his father's attention. After the Osbornes, Peter was supposed to go to Aunt May's, but Sandman appeared on the horizon, he'd been robbing banks. He was on a construction site and had grown to the size of a building. The Spider-Man chopped off Flint's limbs with a giant metal construction beam, lifting them, swinging them, and throwing them at the sand monster. Reducing him to human size, the Spider-Man lured Flint into a trap and poured cement on him. After about an hour-long battle, the Spider-Man emerged victorious again. Norman was furious, and this time, he was right. Plan B-Rhino-remained. While the Rhino was being created, Peter got carried away and ended up being chosen for the team, while Harry was made a reserve. Harry yelled at Peter, saying, "You get all the glory!" Peter didn't even understand what Harry meant. He also continued to study with Dr. Octavius, and one day, Otto asked Peter what was bothering him. Peter told him about Harry, and after listening to Otto's advice, decided to give his friend a chance to fulfill his dream. Walking to deliver pictures to the Bugle, Peter saw indentations in the asphalt, all leading to the top floor of a building. Quickly changing, he approached the window and saw O'Hirn in the Rhino suit holding Jameson, asking where Peter Parker was, because he must know where the Spider-Man was. The Spider-Man knocked on the window. - Knock, knock, knock, it's your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man! - Get rid of Parker! Rhino threw Jameson through the window, but Spidey managed to catch him and take him to the roof, saying, "Don't worry, John, such a ray of light, security won't miss it!"

Looking down, Rhino lunged at the Spider-Man, grabbing him with his hand and aiming him towards the asphalt. To be more precise, towards death. Luckily, Peter managed to flip Rhino over with his webs, and he landed on his back, creating a huge hole in the road. Both survived, though the Spider-Man felt excruciating pain. Rhino got up and started to beat up the police, while the Spider-Man slowly flew away from him, luring him in. Rhino threw cars at him, tried to grab him, but the Spider-Man expertly dodged every attack, and even managed to save people. Rhino still managed to grab him and threw him into a bowling alley. Rhino crushed the bowling ball and said the same fate awaited the Spider-Man. Spidey managed to slip out from under Rhino's feet. Later, the Spider-Man noticed that Alex's face was sweating profusely, and he decided to use this to his advantage. Provocating Rhino with his jokes, the Spider-Man drove him into the sewers, then directed gas at his face. Rhino collapsed to the ground, exhausted. Peter guessed that someone was behind Rhino and Sandman, but he couldn't get any information from Alex, just like Flint. After the Spider-Man helped the police lift the heavy Rhino, he went home and thankfully made it by ten. Aunt May said Peter was a good boy and wanted to introduce him to Mrs. Watson's niece-Mary Jane. Peter laughed and said he was sick of introductions. Norman was furious. The Spider-Man had only needed two tries for the Sandman and one for Rhino. A conflict erupted between Norman and Otto. - You promised me soldiers capable of eliminating the Spider threat, and then you decided to put on airs about how I need the city. Where is that city, Otto? The one that's covered in the Spider-Man's webs? The man in the suit, who can't even break through a tank shell, lost to a pathetic clown in tights on the first try. The man who can create any cold weapon and grow to the size of a building, lost to a pathetic clown in one hour?! You're a failure, Otto. And I'm buying you out. - No, Norman, no... - I'm buying you out. Pack your things. Get out of MY lab. The next morning, when Peter came to Otto, he saw that many blueprints were gone, and Dr. Octavius himself was packing up his belongings. Norman Osborn bought Octavius's company, and he moved into a mini lab-he did have one, after all. Peter helped with the move, but still wanted to try to talk to Mr. Osborn himself. - Peter, you're a... smart kid. Smarter than most. But you don't understand right now. It's business. And this Otto Octavius... He's not who you think he is. I advise you to stop contacting him, though that's your business. But my answer is no. Despite Norman's stories, Peter became close to Otto. He became a kind of idol for him, so he didn't abandon him. And Otto started to treat Peter like a son. At school, Peter gave in to Harry, and Harry was chosen for the team. Harry joined Flash's crew, and as if he forgot about Peter. And Peter... What about Peter? It's his curse, his gift. Who is he? He's Spider-Man. However, Liz sits next to him, who was just cheated on by Flash. Well, shall we continue our training? - Liz asked Peter. The season ends with Otto recreating his old project called "Octopus."
