Oh sweet Janeaustensus, that was brilliant. I think it was the first Ecco video that led me to this channel, and it and the Tides of Time reviews are some of my absolute favourite things on KZbin. I was super excited seeing what this video was about, and it very much lived up to that legacy. (Don't get me wrong, pretty much everything else on the channel is basically what John Romero was to 1990s androgenous hairstyles: simply the best)

There were plans for a Sega Saturn sequel called Ecco 3: The Dark Sea which would've acted as a continuation to the confusing ending of Ecco 2 and would've used the password that did nothing in it. Too bad the creator of Ecco left after being forced to work on Ecco Jr.

So realized I might be late on this one but as a fan of Ecco, have you ever played the one that came after the genesis? aka the absolutely fantastic Dreamcast/PS2 Ecco, defenders of the future? just seems like something worth mentioning. or you could always try Ecco Jr. and the Great Ocean Treasure Hunt, on the Pico. but you don't seem like a masochist.

Didn't expect a new review so soon. This one was good. I thought Ecco Jr was lite and mild but I didn't hate it. But good analysis on the ocean. It freaks me out. Its a boundless abyss. An infinite void. Once I saw a nature show where an 80 foot whale bent at the tail and went 80 feet deeper. Its just endless all around. They lose your body in there its never coming out. Might as well be in space. Plus all those sea daemons in there that people keep seeing. On the opposite side of Da Urth as the Bermuda Triangle is the Devil Sea of Japan where weird things happen. I say we nuke the ocean. Dry out the seas with Nucular Flame. Worked in Fist of the |North Star! Btw: Dolphins are like Gacy: They are Bi, they kill small animals for fun, and they b0ne people w/o consent.
