Recent article came out of Venezuela.That the average Salary is equal to $3.00 a month...So this poor people are even wishing someone throw them some few grams or few ounces of something tangible and real so they could trade it and eat a decent meal.So if we throw a Venezuelan 3-5 ounces of a Copper Bullion Coins,they will trade it that will get them their basic needs met or even some extras for that month just on Copper.We didn't even mention some grams of Gold and/or Silver that would make their situation more beautiful to them helping them out big.. Hey it's value, holding some copper in case you need some liquidity is a good idea. You can protect your silver holdings and subsequently your gold holdings as well. I think that's a discussion worth having. Consider if most people end up with nothing, copper will be a good financial vehicle.

"falsely" ...people involved with bitcoin often laugh at the physical looking bitcoins the mainstream media loves to use for BTC articles. Nonetheless, pictures of coins help to describe money and the subject matter at hand (thus the pics are used by some others too). Bitcoins can be purchased via purchase of physical coins with appropriate cryptographic keys on them.

and why is gold valuable? Its because the majority of people have agreed upon it. Long ago, when gold was useless, humans just made it worth much because its rare and it looks pretty. At least now you can use gold in electronics because of the good conductivity. Beside from that, its a pure psychological value. So why isnt BTC the real thing? Bitcoin uses blockchain. Which confirms that a transaction is real, and that the bitcoin is real. You can paint other metal alloys and make it look like gold, people get fooled by that every day. Bitcoin can be transfered almost instantly to anyone. Gold is heavy and harder to send. "Remove internet/power and BTC is gone". Which is funny because all the ledgers in the world are digital. Almost all the gold are stored in the USA. Remove electricity, how can you explain to the gold-holder that your portion is yours when his electricity is down and cant confirm it because his server isnt working.

Look at the chart that shows coppers worth the past 45years. Now pull up an inflation calculator and enter in and compare the worth at different times. Copper is worth less today! Now do the same with silver and look how much it has increased. It continues to grow significantly in value as time goes on. Getting some copper bars on the side might not be a bad idea or little investment for diversity, but the real money should be in silver and gold.

the internet wont be shut down in an economic crisis, all assets will still be trading as usual, just like is 2008, and even in 1929 crash you could still buy and sell with paper assets, you act like a giant metor or nuclear war is upon us, if thats the case than storing anything is completely useless, theres no way it can be so bad that we go back to the bronze age, be realistic!

Your ignorance is appalling. A dollar is the metals, you are using FRNs (federal reserve notes) established in 1913. Look at the top of your FRN it says Federal Reserve Note not dollar. Now for ex. look up a picture from around 1920-1950s. It will say silver or gold certificate on the top. The paper was nothing but certificates for your dollar (1 oz. gold and silver). Quarter, nickel, dimes were also silver. Obviously they were valued by weight hence 4 quarters make one dollar. Its still in the constitution. Double eagle 20 dollar was about 1oz of gold which is now around 1300 FRNs. We talk about prices in FRNs not dollars, a dollar never was paper. Also see Coinage Act of 1792.
