When I was 10 years old, Me, my 9 year old brother and a little girl (9 who was the daughter of a college art professor friend of my mothers) where all dropped off to see this movie at a theater in Auburn Alabama. My VERY naive mom thought from the title that this was some religion movie and ok for young kids. The teenager working the ticket counter sold us the tickets and in we went, place full of college kids. We all thought it was so cool, weird and funny. My mom went into shock later. lol.

I’d forgotten how it used to be … although this is a Pythonesque type satire, it’s easy to see how it was … never heard of this film before so will avidly watch it..

I confess... I liked this movie the first time I saw it. But I had to see it all the way thru a 2nd time, before I realized EXACTLY what was going on. On the surface, it looks like Guy & Youngman are often innocent bystanders viewing an unconnected series of bizarre events. NOT so! They (mostly Guy) are BEHIND every single one of them. He's that worst of all things in England-- a SELF-MADE millionaire, who has no respect for the upper classes, and makes it his FUN mission in life, to have fun at THEIR expense. In effect, he's like a living breathing incarnation of the "MONTY PYTHON" agenda: dragging sacred cows thru the mud. If I were filthy stinking rich... I'd want to be just like Guy Grand.
