I've interviewed him a few times. Peter has a very cocky sense of humor. I don't think he means to be abrasive, but it does sometimes come across that way. The hard part of this interview was it was at the end of the film festival, and I was exhausted, so I wasn't at the top of my game as an interviewer. If I could re-do it, I absolutely would. I've actually had some great exchanges with Peter off camera, and he can be a very funny guy.

Wow, I can't believe this only has a few comments! Peter Weller is a acting powerhouse! ROBOCOP is a masterwork...besides Buckaroo Bonsai. ROBOCOP was the last movie I went to see before leaving for the Army. I've been a huge Weller fan since then. Now I have seen just about every movie he has acted in. I really enjoyed SCREAMERS as well...Peter seems to be able to give the characters he plays a deeper sense of being...not just all action. Great interview.

Late response, but I've noticed that these interviews with Weller don't get the views they deserve. Maybe people just aren't finding them, or the YT algorithms aren't throwing them up in their recommendations.

I didn't think Peter Weller came off as an asshole in this video. Was it the thing with the David Lynch/David Cronenberg mix-up that made you think that way? It seemed obvious to me that Weller was just having fun with Mark.

Thanks for the kind words. I got to host the 25th Anniversary Q&A for ROBOCOP in Dallas, and it was pretty amazing. The theater was packed, 650 seats all filled.

Thank you. Regrettably I only just found this interview. Weller, being a highly intelligent, ambitious and highly motivated person would likely have those character traits (needed to have a successful career in movies and to endure the kind of circumstances he went through making 'Robocop'). We all have flaws, limitations and failings, so it is refreshing to hear Weller have the self-awareness to recognise them and moderate for them. Wishing him the best in whatever activities he is involved in, or planning.
