Love when Korean BBQ spots use charcoal grills. Adds such a nice flavor!

Jami especially use high quality charcoals which coats the meat with a really mouth watering charcoal scent 😍

Oh! My! Gawd! You guys have those, too? We have a ton of All You Can Eat ones here in K-Town, Los Angeles... so I guess if we move, we won't miss out on K-BBQ #reason2 of considering a move to NZ 😁😁😁

Those mini pancakes are cool! Not used to seeing them that size. And that’s part of the banchan? Awesome!
@PeterandYen5 жыл бұрын
Yup it's part of the banchan, maybe it's a thing unique to New Zealand. We see them quite often at Korean places here. They are my favorite side next to the kimchii 🤤
@FoodandFootprints5 жыл бұрын
Peter and Yen That’s awesome. We love the seafood and kimchi pancakes. Funny thing is that we ended up eating Korean food tonight, but not BBQ

I was going to start watching your videos in chronological order but then I spotted yr Best Korean In Auckland video, so of course I clicked on it (I've been watching a ton of korean programs on Netflix) and the best thing is that these restaurants, except that NShore one, are right in my neighbourhood but for sure I'll be checking out those others - korean food is my top 3 cuisine to eat.... I'm hungry now, dang it. Great video 👍👍👍👍
@PeterandYen4 жыл бұрын
Yo Bhanani! Hahaha chronological is pretty good to watch it in but I understand the food distraction lol 😆 Unfortunately Choi's in meadowlands has closed down not too long ago now I think mr choi finally decided to retire or something since it's not there anymore unfortunately. These videos are pretty old we warn you so you'll probably notice a bit of a difference in our vlogging 🤣🤣 Cheers for watching regardless 🤣👍
@bhanani54804 жыл бұрын
@@PeterandYen Thanks for that heads up about the Meadowlands one. Did you guys ever try the Korean place that use to be in Highland Park? It's not there anymore but this was my absolute favourite korean place to eat. The manager left and someone else took over, the food was still nice but not as nice as the previous manager. I didn't know she had left and I'm gutted I never got to say goodbye to her. I would love to know if she went to work for another restaurant. Also there is a really nice Korean restaurant on Dominion Rd, the shizzle and very affordable 👍👍👍
@PeterandYen4 жыл бұрын
Hmm highland park.. where abouts though? We can only think of that lil hub area where there's a tmark, a rio bakery use to be (coz back in the day it had a net cafe and we'd play counterstrike there 😂). Or is it the other side where the old cinema use to be? Can only remember a few of the food places there.. mainly a Thai restaurant 😅 Sux when a great restaurant closes ay! And especially when you don't know so don't get to say goodbye to the owners. It's happened a few times to us and we're always guttered!
@linnyunt6 жыл бұрын
K-BBQ for the win! This looked so amazing. Wow, I never thought about fish in K-BBQ. And again, not a drop spilled on your shirts! You should make a video on how you don't spill anything on your shirts. Haha
@PeterandYen6 жыл бұрын
Hahahaha yeah I find the only time I get food on my shirt is when I eat laksa or a red coloured Malaysian noodle 😅 Korean bbq is the best though. New Zealand has come a long way in this space. Almost summer so looking forward to getting some deliciousness.
