@@PeterandYen No, I don't - it has changed beyond all recognition. For example, Beachlands was a collection of real ramshackle kiwi baches at the end of a narrow road that passed through farmland. Once you left Otara and went down East Tamaki Rd, you were in strawberry farms - lots of them, some PYO. Botany and all those other suburbs did not exist; not a hint of any development there, it was farmland all the way to Maraetai. But it was great place to grow up, back then. Still like the coast drive out to Kawakawa bay, try to travel that way if we have time when visiting Auckland.

The regional park has some really stunning views and all the birds were so cute 😀 The shoe cleaning at the entrance really surprised me I've never seen that before. Is it to stop you from bringing seeds on your shoes into the park?
@PeterandYen4 жыл бұрын
It's awesome you don't have to go far for views like this wherever you are in NZ 😁 the shoe cleaning is common here especially when visiting nz forests or wherever there are native/kauri trees. It's to prevent kauri dieback caused by a microscopic soil-borne organism. It infects and damages their roots and cuts nutrients to the trees. Nearly all that get infected will die so it's a big thing here to prevent it and protect our native trees 👍

I love your channel guys! How beautiful is NZ. I can’t believe how expensive petrol is though. The lowest we reached here during quarantine was 89c here in Oz (usually it would cost between $1.35-$1.47)
@PeterandYen4 жыл бұрын
Thanks heaps TJ 😁💕 Wow 89c! I think the cheapest we saw it get around here during that period was maybe $1.83 nzd? 😅 not cheap for sure!

Peter and Yen We had family members come from NZ to Aus for my Dad’s funeral & every time I use to fill up my car...my elders would constantly talk about the cost of petrol. Comparing the two counties. Goodness. Thank u both again for your awesome clips.

Sorry for your loss TJ :( Petrol seems to be a really interesting topic in any country you go to coz it varies so wildly everywhere!

Thanks for nice video. I've got one question, could you please help? Q: Is it possible to get pr without job offer or study from nz? I mean, if someone is Korean graduate , working & living in Korea can be a PR?
@PeterandYen4 жыл бұрын
No unfortunately 😅 PR means permanent resident so you need to have held a resident visa for at least 2 years before you can even apply to be a PR. To live here you would need to have a visa like a working or student visa so basically you need to live in NZ for at least 2 years before even applying for PR.
@theetempest73864 жыл бұрын
@@PeterandYen thanks for ur reply, Canada has a system to give PR to non residents, that's why I was curious. Thanks again.
