Fantastic Video - I've never been to NZ(My Buckert List), I'm going to visit next year once the borders are open again - you've taken the hard part of choosing what to do out of the equation for me , and given such good ideas for day trips and weekend trips - I have family in Auckland, where I plan to stay & use as a base-camp for a 12 day trip - Thank Peter & Yen - Having been on 'Lockdown' for 4 months in the USA, I still can't travel overseas either (originally from Ireland) or travel from State to State otherwise, I would have to do a '14 day Qaurantine' - I know how frustrating it can be - Stay Strong, Stay Safe & Be Healthy - looking forward to your next video !!

The recreational things you do & places you go to make me feel I should get out more and exercise (I think i'm starting to develop a bit of a gut).... Blue springs is super beautiful! Definitely one of my favs too. Can’t go wrong with Rotorua! I reckon that’s a great place to visit if you only have a short amount of time in the north island because there’s so much for tourists to do there 😄. I’m sill yet to visit Hawkes bay! Looks great! Haha yayyy!!! Auckland! It’s so funny how people who live outside of Auckland often don’t like it because of the traffic, but it’s such a chill city compared to many cities in the world. I personally love it too 🥰 I agree! So multicultural, I miss that about Auckland. It’s so hard to find good asian cuisine in Europe 😂 Great vid guys! Hope you’re both staying well 😊 I’m doing a lil catchup of all your vids so expect some spam hehe 😁

If you have enough time for a day hike Felix, you should go to do the Tongariro Crossing! It'll take about 6-8 hours depending how fit you are and stopping for photos/videos etc but it's really beautiful with many different views along the trek. Only reason we didn't include it in here is probably coz of the time it takes to visit it and fitness involved to do it 😅 if you're going Rotorua though it's near there 👍 definitely worth visiting if you can and are fit enough (which you seem like you are!) 😁

😁👌 I know it's so hard choosing a top 5 in North island right... if you had to make a list what would your top 5 be? So curious 🤔 n hope you stay safe too ✌

Awesome list, i know its impossible to include all the amazing places on the north island but i think you need to add Lake Taupo and nearby Tongariro national park (Mount Doom). Went there earlier this year and there was so much to do and see.
@PeterandYen4 жыл бұрын
Taupo and tongariro are awesome as well. We've made vlogs from both locations before. 😅 it was so hard making this list limited to 5 places.

Kia ora. Thank you both for these very helpful guides and tips. I’m finally planning a trip to the North island with my wife and your videos definitely come in clutch. That being said do you know of some nice places where we can view a pōwhiri? Something I’ve always loved when it comes to the indigenous tribes of Aotearoa. Thank you again for your help and keep up the good work 🤙🏾
@PeterandYen4 жыл бұрын
Kia ora! 🙂👋 Thank you! Glad you find our videos handy 😁👍 For a pōwhiri you can go to the Bay of Islands and to the Waitangi Treaty Grounds. If you're lucky you'll get picked to be the chief and briefly participate in the pōwhiri too like Peter did 🙂 you can check that out in this Bay of Islands video of ours: kzbin.info/www/bejne/j4uXqqd9hZ2fsNE hope you'll have a wonderful time in the North Island and happy new year btw 🙂

I just finished watching your video visiting the Bay of Islands and no surprise I absolutely find it very helpful and enjoyable. Thank you so much again for your help so that our trip will be a pleasantly unforgettable one 🙂 I also plan to get into video editing myself so if it’s okay with both of you, may I tag you on IG and do a shout out. Happy New Years to the both of you as well 😊

Hey guys, I love how you make videos and show the beautiful scenery of NZ with a bit of history and an overview of that place. it's just amazing. I really love watching all of your videos :) I had a plan to come to NZ on a work visa, I was in the process, but unfortunately, the borders get closed. unlucky me.
@PeterandYen4 жыл бұрын
Hi Usman, fingers crossed that things get back to normality soon and you can get that visa sorted. In the mean time stay safe and thank you for watching our videos 😊❤✌

Oh my gosh! Rotorua has so many cool things to check out that I missed when I was there. Will and I have to do a proper visit of New Zealand together. If you had to pick one of the islands to focus on for a visit (for filming tons), would you recommend the North or South?
@PeterandYen4 жыл бұрын
Definitely do Alli! 😁👍 Ooo tough.. if you want the really dramatic and iconic mountains that you often see of NZ and all that then South Island. North Island for more green hilly landscapes, cities and varied activities 🙂

love your voices... do you sing? And did you try Morere pools? Just between Gissy and Wairoa.
@PeterandYen4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Harries 😁👍 I can't sing unfortunately hahaha 😅 but yen has some hidden talent in that department 😁 we didn't get a chance to go morere pools during our recent trip but heard it was a nice place to check out too so maybe next time 🤞

I definately think it's a must do, to visit places around Aotearoa before venturing overseas. My parents are big travellers, so before we visited any overseas countries, we visited a lot of different places in NZ. My mum once asked us to close our eyes and point at a place in the North Island and that's where we went on holiday! bahahahaha I loved how you said Auckland. Everybody is going to say their home city/town/area for sure!
@PeterandYen4 жыл бұрын
💯🙂👍 even though we've traveled around NZ heaps before we're still discovering new places so it's awesome ☺️ That's such a cool way to travel! It's like mystery box travel 😁💕 Hahahaha keeping it real, gotta have the city we grew up and lived in almost our entire lives 🤣👍

Since you guys want to make it to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter I highly recommend frozen butterbeer and butterbeer ice cream! Delicious. Unless you come on one of the weird unheard of cold days in Florida than I’ve heard the hot one is really good too! Also the wand ceremony in Diagon Alley is pretty cool! Also knockturn alley is a nice quiet place to get out of the sun!
@PeterandYen4 жыл бұрын
Oh my goodness it all sounds amazing 😭❤️ would super love to go one day and try all that out 😍😍😍 I'd also love to visit the real life castles too!
