I’m considering. Appreciate your technical observations. I have always had an ear for music and singers. Loved all the great singers from the 60’s onward, though, Presley was late 50’s. A great singer has many gifts working together to enhance the impact they have on our ears and you point out some of those nuances & idiosyncrasies great singers have. I spent about 13 months in the Philippines and Filipinos are the singing-est people I have ever come across. Some folks are surprised to learn that a Filipino invented the karaoke machine, but, after spending so much time there, I wasn't surprised at all. I remember seeing a bar band that had 3 singers who could sing just as well as most people I heard coming out of the radio back in the states. Most bar bands back at home were lucky to have one good singer.

May not the best live performances of Morrisette at about the same time as this one, five or six years ago, but to hear her belt live check out Bohemian Rhapsody at the Solaire or I Am Telling You at the Finale of her Made Concert in her home province of Cebu. These might be better early examples of her fearlessness and unique voice. At 26 now and more mature, she is developing a more nuanced style while her voice develops more resonance and pushes her five octave range.

The "Land of Singers"(Philippines) has produced too many superlative vocalists to count. You may want to give a listen to: Gigi de Lana, Katrina Velarde, and K.Z. Tandingan presently and Lea Salonga and Regine Velasquez from prior generations(both still performing). Gigi is sort of a cool jazz version of Mori, and Lea, of course, is the Disney princess voice of Jasmine and Mulan. Not everyone knows the name, but everyone knows the voice.

I like the hairsplitting approach, this is an analysis video after all. It validates why I love this lady's vocals so much. There's another version of this song that she performed 2 songs on stage and she really let it rip, it was at the 2017 Asia Song Festival. Per your comment of So Hyang’s vocal abilities in the high range and Mori not exceeding that or comfortable in that range (I’m paraphrasing here), is that really true? Mori has incredible range and while I admire Ms. Hyang’s songs, I’m wondering what her range is in comparison to Mori’s? Also, is having the vocal range and being adept at each octave better than being always known for hitting the high notes?
