You're a machine Ezra, stop justifying your work decisions, you've got your head around the physics of what will and won't work. They come to your channel to learn and we all do. Men like you built the world, know it all commenters made a sandwich once and that's about it. Smashing through this job mate, please know that we do see the hours you're putting into these videos that aren't recorded and then you still have to edit and upload them we love you for it.

"On this episode of This old truck"........they should give you a tv show on PBS LOL! Seriously, though, she's looking good Ezra! The weather out there hasn't slowed you down much like where I'm at. I'm working on reviving an 1988 Ford F 250 7.3 diesel in my driveway for the past couple of months, weather permitting of course. And since October, Ol man winter ain't been too agreeable.

In our country we cannot do that kind of work ourselves, must be done by certified engineers then many $$'s and a small novel of certified paperwork later we are good to go. Amazing work, again you make it look effortless, but those of us that are small owner operators know how much work goes into these heart breakers.....see you on the next post, cheers man

yeah we have to pass safty inspections but we don't have to have a bunch of certified paperwork.

There are haters and armchair warriors who think they know it all but you do you! I mean if you talked to some reputable shops then hell go for it. The only way to learn is to do it. Hell, this is interesting to me and I do enjoy the reasoning behind what you're doing. It does help me understand it more and holy hell do you have some killer skill. For example, I just got my CDL permit today and I'm just stepping into this whole world of trucking. Its for my job as I'll be using that CDL to drive a dumptruck with a plow on it but eh, its a childhood dream to drive everything.

I like your videos and being able to see your truck transform with each one. I have been gathering parts so I can do similar things to my 1983 Peterbilt 362. I have considered making videos of the progress but was not sure if I would, until I saw your videos.

Watched the whole series up till now. Can't wait to see you get the new trans into it and the drive shafts and so on. Cool to see the difference between the older 70's version Twin Sticks has with the Catepillar motor and the aforementioned twin shifters & how yours with the Cummins big Cam & the new 19 speed will come together and you hauling a big trailer of whatever goods you're job sets behind you. I've watched a few Peterbilt rebuilds and refurbishments but you are probably the one working Trucker who drives them for a living. I rewatched the old film that Spielberg did with Dennis Weaver in his six banger Valient being tortured by the big old Peterbilt from the late 40's lol I LOVED that movie when it came out and still think it's the best thing Speilberg's done for sheer anxiety and terror. Truly a fantastic film. The only other film I can think of that came close to that one would be the Trucks in the original Pet Semetary of Steven King fame [they had that low growl, roar and air horn sounds similar to the old Pete from Duel. Anyway, well done and please do keep posting updates on your reborn monster girl. She's a Beaut! Well done! Always wanted to be a trucker growing up but ended up being a musician type & wood carver goof off lol All the Best!

I think I read somewhere (probably the Pakistan truck channel, I don’t really remember) that the optimal way to extend a frame rail is to cut it at a 45 or larger degree angle. The idea is to spread out the welded seams to as much of an area as possible that spread out the stress area.
@Ezrider3594 жыл бұрын
generally this would be correct however when dealing with a heat treated steel that moves and flexes a lot the reduced heat affected area is also a benifit. im not going to say eaither way is wrong as iv seen it done both ways without issues.
