When I hear "individuals that can guide us" I run and hide. Another thing: AI is completely safe, no harm can come from it. OTOH those humans using AI can be extremely dangerous and it's those humans we must worry about.

Start a foundation that is based on spreading your vital message and (I hate to use these words but) “lobbying” and “contributing” to voluntary funding for outputting recommendations (and even support if possible) for responsible development of control of AI. I do not feel I have expressed my meaning clearly enough, but in other words, a credible organization is needed to be run on volunteer donations and become recognized sufficiently to inspire (and support the creation of) proactive steps toward the goals you espouse.

We have to think of A.I. just as a tool for multiplying our intellectual capabilities. In that sense, this technology must be open source, just like the internet. Ideas such as human extinction, doomsday, and so on are absolutely absurd. This tool opens an enormous potential, not just for increasing productivity in almost every human activity but for transforming it profoundly. Coding, gaming, personal assistance, investing, education, healthcare, etc. An amazing revolution if the techno-pessimist along with the regulo-bureaucrats don't mess with it.

I'm not sure I follow his logic on funding AI safety. The big players are heavily invested in AI safety, but as the technology becomes more accessible to your average coder new AIs will be trained without safety in mind. Does he want legislation to prevent your average citizen from building and training AI systems? This has its own potential risks.

Uncontrolled AI is inevitable, accept it and take the best actions knowing that. Regulating AI in one location will just move its development to the location where it is not regulated. Only way to solve deep fakes sorta is for crypto signatures on everything so there's a chain of trust from the original camera/microphone gps etc. and have the viewer validate the signatures that the chain isnt broken, however with advancements in quantum computing even that is not safe by any means as those signatures are now fakable as a result...

Humans are created naturally to advance and explore, but there are boundaries and natural enemy. The limits of the boundaries can only be minimised through certain conditions but the enemy is working hard to at least distort the human action so the conditions could never be met. In Islam, if the human meets the primary condition (submitting to the Creator and following His instructions which is set to be non apparent to most in this life and it's effect might even be what we call prosperity) their life is filled up with happiness, regardless of their wealth, health etc. status. They feel protected and led by the creator - and the little tests they go through such as hunger, illness and losing beloved ones only increase their current or the next life's status so they work hard to advance this world as if they will be living forever while eliminating the enemy's input through fulfilling the creator's conditions. You might be surprised why am I lecturing Islam to you, but congratulations if you made to this point :) Our Ai warries + Mo's happiness program +++ will only be successful if we prevent the enemy's input by recognising the Creator's right and invocking His All-Knowing and The Protector abilities. In other words it would be fullish to unite efforts to deal with only the fever when you ignore the causing disease. The enemy will have it's input as long as it is successful in making us forget it and making us busy with the fever. My call is to Mohamed and Peter to stop scare mongering about Ai as the creator will never allow someone to create a living being (life is the Creator's secret) and nothing can destroy this world without His permission and will. Yes Ai regulation is the temporary solution same as other powers humans have achieved, but the real solution is to follow the Creator's instructions on developing anything when intention maters, earning matters, consequences matter even before the person involves in it. Yes to happiness but when it is real and forever and extends to the eternal life, not when founded with temporary anti pain nice words that could be breathed in by the enemy itself to use it as a tool to prevent us from the real happiness. I advice Mo to reveal to his followers the happiness he feels when he prostrates to the Creator (as I can see the prostration sign from his forehead) and he communicates with Him especially in the last part of the night. It is the sweetest happiness moments that you can feel and you can try yourself even if you are not a Muslim provided that you are sincerely communicating with your creator and asking Him to guide you to the good forever. I recommend to the open minded to read the last testimony of the Creator, the Qur'an to know the human enemy and His instructions on human survival in here and hereafter.
