Winning play for me on board 5 was to misclick the upgrade and bid 1NT making four, receive low club lead, run spades dropping doubleton queen, lefty throws a diamond on the last round, then they return a diamond making them all good (including beer card) before they can get any more clubs

Board 1 my head wasn't in the game yet, I didn't even notice East's bid showed spades and a minor, so I missed the urgency in trying to cash hearts. Board 4 is an interesting example of a hidden cost of unaccepted slam tries. Without the splinter West apparently worries that hearts might set up for a club pitch, and so switches to clubs when in with the diamond. It doesn't make the slam try wrong, just sometimes there's a price in terms of informing the defense. More common examples of this are Blackwooding and stopping off two keycards, and cuebidding but stopping upon finding a suit uncontrolled. Board 5, as much as I love to upgrade against the bots having two sets of doubleton honors was just too much for me. I kind of felt 1D was an unlucky contract in that the opponents zeroed in on a heart ruff without which 130 would have been a successful score. High five on board 7. The only thing that would have made it sweeter would have been playing in tempo well enough to fool a human defender.

The lesson on #8 is that while doubling is ostensibly for takeout, the bots will usually leave it in.

Boards 1-4 and 6: Identical bids, leads, results, scores. Everything. Board 5: No upgrade, 1D+2, poor score but I am ok with it, didn't fancy the upgrade much with that hand. Board 7: Such an easy, easy falsecard, but sadly I missed it. :( So angry with myself. Board 8: Gutsy double, I didn't have the nerve to do it, average score. Overall, 3 different boards, but I only blame myself for that glaringly easy falsecard on board 7. Nice set!

I had 8 identical boards to you 😆. I too was surprised the K of ds play yielded 100%

The bidding of Board 3 is interesting. "Why does showing 18-19 balanced take precedence" over a support double? This may be standard but is it superior? What is the hurry showing 18-19 balanced ? Often there are right-siding issues when your RHO overcalls. Give partner Qx or Jxx in spades for example. Anyway I believe whenever you do not support double you should deny 3 cards in partners suit. This is quite useful information for partner. A logical way getting to the 5-2 heart fit is then 1D-1H (1S) 2NT - 3C - 3H - 4H Partner confirms at least a good 5 card suit when bidding game in hearts and would not bother to bid 3C and look for alternative games without a shortage in spades and 3H shows doubts about 3NT with Hx in hearts since you have already denied 3 cards there.

I understand your point, but what if other opp pushes? Say it goes 1D - 1H (1S) Dbl (3S) Pass (Pass) ? Tough to catch up now with 18-19 balanced

@@dimitriosdanellakis9432 let's compare: What is better: 1D-1H (1S) 2NT (3S) Pass (Pass) ? or 1D - 1H (1S) DBL (3S) Pass (Pass) ? I at least prefer the latter and I would have no problem doubling again clearly showing more than a minimum opening. Suppressing the heart support in the first case is much more dangerous in my mind. You virtually end-played yourself in the bidding.
