My daddies favorite song. I would sing it to him every day for the last 18 months of his life. It always brought a smile to his face. I promised him I would sing it to him one last time at his funeral. I was in two very large churches choir's when I lived in Los Angeles and was no stranger to having hundreds of people turn to watch me sing in the balcony. I loved praising God. But singing that day for him for the last time was the hardest thing I've ever done. It took me seven times before I could start, but I looked at the casket and just knew he was there smiling at me and it was suddenly just the two of us and no one else. I miss you every day. Love you

Amazing grace! How sweet the sound That saved a wretch like me! I once was lost, but now am found; Was blind, but now I see. ’Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, And grace my fears relieved; How precious did that grace appear The hour I first believed. Through many dangers, toils and snares, I have already come; ’Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far, And grace will lead me home. The Lord has promised good to me, His Word my hope secures; He will my Shield and Portion be, As long as life endures. When we’ve been there ten thousand years, Bright shining as the sun, We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise Than when we’d first begun.

I have heard this song so many times in my life. I always liked it but never really thought about it. I got save almost 8 years ago. I remember being on fire for the Lord but yet still confused about what exactly what was going on with me. I remember listening to the worship team as they started singing this song, i just lost it. It was right there right then when God opened my eyes to this song. I realized what it was all about. Gods amazing Grace just saved a wretch like me. I remember just crying my eyes out during worship. Growing up as a catholic they only played this at funerals. Until i got saved i truly understtod this song. Praise God for opening my eyes. Father i am so grateful to you I love you so much.

Regardless if you see it or not, there can be mighty lessons learned through the agony of trials that makes you a better person through it. Most of life's lessons that impact us and change us the most come through hardship. Stick in there, the end is just around the corner.

I am most decidedly NOT old-school.... but I also vastly prefer the traditional hymns. Respect the past, especially in the classics that have stood the test of time. There is always room for a little "personal touch" in a song, but I feel that too many artists try to add those touches in an attempt to "claim" the song, or just as an expression of hubris. The truly great songs stand out because of their intrinsic beauty, be happy that you are able to perform them to be enjoyed for others, humility goes a long way.

When he got up to sing he requested that anyone who knew the song to please join in.... Everyone of those inebriated people knew the song and joined in... It was so beautiful you would have thought the angels had joined in... As soon as he was done he turned and walked out.... I raced right out after him to tell him thank you... There was not a soul there anywhere, not on the road or in the cars... No one... The song was Amazing Grace... You've heard that we entertain angels unawares but I believe that night we were entertained by an Angel 🎶 🦋 🌼 🌸 ❤ 📖 ➕ 👑 🌈 🕊️

I had a similar experience. I was in the military and during a training evolution, I dashed home from the training site to grab some lunch instead of eating the usual MREs. I had very little time and was extremely rushed. I made two sandwiches and there was a knock on my door. I answered and there was a man standing there. He told me he was hungry and asked if I had something he could eat. Being in a frenzied rush to get back to my training site, I told him I don't have time for this and I closed the door. Then I realized I had two sandwiches and I could give him one. I opened the door and he was gone. My apartment faced a courtyard and this guy would have to cover a very large distance to even hide someplace. No way he had time to get out of sight. He just vanished. I felt so ashamed and immediately asked God to forgive me for rejecting the hungry man (Angel).

Music is one of the greatest gifts that God has given us. It spans across generations, races, nations and religions and it's purpose was to bring praise and glory to the King of kings. When we raise our voices in praise of the Lord, the angels and all of the Heavenly hosts join in with us. The bible has hundreds of verses about music, for example: Then I looked, and I heard around the throne and the living creatures and the elders the voice of many angels, numbering myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands, saying with a loud voice, “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing!” And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying, “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!” And the four living creatures said, “Amen!” and the elders fell down and worshiped. (Revelation 5:9-14)

That was Beautiful. It brought tears to my eyes. My Grandfather Lemuel Edge was one of the Original The Kings Men and The Ambassadors from down in Alabama. I never met my grandfather, he died before i was born so i never got to hear him sing. I heard one of his groups sing once when i was about 5. And they introduced me and said they were the ones my grandpa sang to Jesus with. I imagine they sounded a lot like you young men do. Thank you. God Bless you!

Grace = undeserved favour. Nothing we could ever do would earn us a place in God's family or even the right to speak to him freely! He is SO mighty, powerful, perfect, holy. We are worse (more sinful) than we ever see ourselves to be, and yet by HIS will, because he loved us that much, he sent his son to pay the price that would make us right with himself - to remove the stain of sin; he then went so far as to adopt us into his family and then gives us the free gift of eternal life! Such a kind and generous Father! Incredible song, always amazed to be reminded of just how much God loves us.

This was a soul stirring, beautiful rendition of a classic Christian hymn. The incredibly beautiful, pure harmonies make the message of the song sound even more uplifting. May God bless those who sang this so beautifully. As Christians, we know God is always in charge of everything, at all times. God's grace and love for all mankind sent Jesus, his only son to die a shameful, painful death on the cross for our sins. Jesus's love for every one of us and for his father kept him on that cross. No power on earth could have held Jesus there if he hadn't been willing. All we need do is accept Jesus as our saviour and follow his teachings. Jesus taught love, forgiveness, and to spread the word about God's grace and his wonderful gift to all. In these days of uncertainty it feels wonderful to be secure about your eternal destiny and to have the peace that passes all understanding. We all have a hill to die on and Jesus died for all mankind on that hill. What hill will you die on? Will it be in the service of God and others, or chasing after selfish things of this world that will rust, and thieves will break in and steal? Lay up your treasures in heaven where they will not rust or thieves will not break in and steal. God Bless You and may all who read this feel the love of God's saving grace hold them securely.
