Thanks everyone for joining on this tour of Otsuka! I had a blast today. And special thanks to you SUPER CHATTERS! 😀 JimDogg, LINDA, DEBRA & Ramses. I don’t think I missed anyone? I hope! Always appreciated. I had a great ONIGIRI lunch after the coffee shop. Thank you! The Thai restaurant we went by is MAEK MAI - super good and authentic. We’ll try some of those izakaya at night some day too!

Obanyaki... Here, you get the best ones at the Mitsuwa Marketplace In Edgewater, New Jersey. Their Obanyaki grills are gas fired, a lot of other places use electric-powered grills. In my humble opinion, the gas fired Obanyaki grills produce a much better flavor... I know sweet bean paste my sound odd to the uninitiated, but it's great.

I am late watching this video and I love it because my son is a HUGE FAN of All Things Japan! ... and these types of videos are helping me to prepare a vacation and possible move to Japan from The States.

I lived in Kita-Ootsuka 10 years ago! It really was different, there was nothing at the station, I'm amazed there's a department store there now! It's really close to Ikebukuro, really nice place to stay!

Please show us a video of you singing "Mona Lisa" with that bar owner. You have such a nice singing voice. Also can you do a reading of some ghost stories from Kwaidan by Lofcadio Hearn?

I've passed so many of those Sizzlers and always wondered if it was the same one from the States and if I should try. Glad I saw this before going. lol

That area could look really cool if a whole street or larger area conforms to that style as well! The railcars/trolleys (Or whatever it's called in English) are also a nice touch, didn't know Tokyo still had some.

Fun facts to annoy your friends! Ginkgo (or gingko) derives from the Japanese _gin kyo_ "silver apricot". Not to be confused with the renowned Great Pumpkin, the Grand Ginkgo in Miyazaki prefecture is over 800 years old and is designated by the Japanese government as a natural monument. (Possible video adventure? "♪We're off to see the ginkgo, the wonderful ginkgo of...." Hmm, doesn't quite work. "♪It's a long way to Miyazaki, It's a long way to go, It's a long way to Miyazaki, Just to see an old ginkgo!♪" Got it rollin' now. Is there an accordion in the house? Kazoo? That'll do.)

Oh no, just started watching this stream & you mentioned politics in the first 5 min, really? Sorry, but I watch you to get away from hearing even one word about politics. :( Let me clarify, in America, we are SMOTHERED 24/7 w/ politics, & THAT is why I said what I did. Currently, our culture is filled w/ hate by the contamination of "politics," which is why I said that. It's just really sad what's going on w/ hate right now. I try to escape it by watching your shows & other "non" political videos. I will continue watching this now. :)

All the otaku and other foreigners that live in Japan say all the food is perfect and there is no crime. Why do you have to lock your little board up then?
