I got scouted by a well known agency I was so excited and starstruck to where I couldn’t believe it but then being 5’5 ruined it... even just being 2 more inches could helped dramatically 😭I hate when a well known agency sees some potential then the huge opportunity gets thrown in the trash😩

Hello Hannah, I'm so sorry to hear it... Yes, unfortunately most of the top agencies still don't accept petite models models unless they are more influencets than models... You can still try working with the boutique ones though. Wishing you all the best whatever you decide 💜

And there's also an interview with a model who has a big tattoo on her hip where she shares how it has affected her job kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y5qvZH6GqMiBjLc This one is with English subs, but I recommend you to watch it because it's a real example of modeling with tattoos. And I would recommend you to start building your portfolio and working on social media first, this way you'll have more chances to be accepted to the agency. Try looking for small boutique agencies. There are also agencies with "alternative" models, but I personally don't really trust them. Maybe they are OK (in terms of working with them), but somehow the ones I've seen seem not so professional to me... So, first you need to do more research too. By the way, where are you based?

Hello Gabrielle, unfortunately I can't say the exact names of the agencies, you just need to do the research and make a list of them. But I really recommend you to search locally first. There are more chances for petite models to get signed locally and then get a contract abroad. Try looking through instagram tags, maybe even using your native language for that as well. Hello, the bottom line for petite models' height is quite blurry. It's possible but everything depends on where you live and of course the way you look, how good you are at posing etc. Anyways, if you're interested in modeling, I recommend you to try it and then see how it'll go. Lots of beauty brand are looking for exceptional faces, so the height doesn't matter that much, but when it comes to fashion brands, you need to find those that are focusing on petite fashion too. Hello Silyana, this whole video is about it :) Basically the bottom line for petite models' height is quite blurry, so I would say it is still possible, but everything depends on where you live, how you look and how demanded you can be for the local clients. Hello, yes, it is possible, but it also depends on other factors such as your face, where are you based, posing skills etc. In some countries / regions clients are mostly looking for more curvy models ( like in Turkey, UAE, Egypt etc ), some others prefer completely opposite. You just need to look attractive for the clients = find the clients / brands who will be interested in working with you. Hello dear, if you’re petite and interested in modeling, I always recommend starting to work in your home country first. It’s just much easier and will give you some experience + you’ll be able to put together a portfolio for yourself. I can’t recommend any particular countries for you, because it depends on the personal case - the way you look, your features and experience. Hello tatiana. I read your reply and thank you so much for answering my query. But i want to ask u one more thing that i know it would be difficult for me to work in some other country apart from my home country. But india i believe is not a very good market. Plus size modeling is growing very slowly but petite modeling is very very very rare. U dont find agencies for petite modeling in india at all. Even munbai which is the hub of modeling agencies have only none petite modeling agencies. Its difficult in my home country to work as petite model. Tall models are hired for almost every field like catalogue or lookbooks.So i would like to take a suggestion from u that should i still work in india(home country) or work in asia only but in some other country or in europe or in US . Talking about my facial features. I am dark skinned,fat nose and big ears. My shoe size is 4 and have small hands. My front two teeth are big and one teeth is tilted inwards. I think the best part about my face is my smile with 2 dimples. One on my right cheek and one on chin. Hoping if u could tell few places where models like me that do no have fair skin can get a lot of opportunities.

Yes, you can, it's more lifestyle modeling / commercial side of modeling. I've explained it in this video about jobs for petite models kzbin.info/www/bejne/rZe2iXmqpLVrrcU In LA and US in general there are much more opportunities comparing to other countries, so I think you should try it and then see how it goes. Just look for some brands and designers who's aesthetics and vision would fit your appearance (check their website if they have someone similar to you and etc). Wiching you best of luck! :)

Even when I’ve started googling them, it took me few minutes to find at least 3 good agencies, so please just do the research 😊 And you Mother Agency doesn’t have to be in your own city and even country, you can always contact foreign agencies. But for petite modeling it’s better to be local though...

Everyone who's shorter than 5'7 (and I'd even say 5'8 if talking about Europe and US) are considered petite models. So, basically, it doesn't really matter - 5'5 or 5'4... But of course the closer you are to the industry standards ( I'm explaining it in this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/q4qnZoR6Ys6Lm7s ) the easier it will be for you to begin a modeling career.
