I have a favorite dress similar to - but longer than - your black & white print. Its defined waistline isn't flattering because it draws attention to not my best area and makes me look bigger. Great tips. Those super-oversized, boxy and super-long blazers that have been in style are disastrous for us petites. I’m not buying a blazer until I can find a classic-fit, single-breasted one. I need the waist definition.

White jacket on the left is much better, it's the skirt that makes the whole outfit look awkward. Add a simple pencil skirt to it or classic trousers and it will be much better then any outfit with the pieces on the right.
