@@MrBjorn6 I think Petras comeback is greater as her wound was much more severe. Her playing hand is not at 100 % and never will be, yet she can compete and defeat anybody. She had to fight for life with knife at her neck, that is something incomparable with what happaned to Selesh.

The world of tennis is much richer when she is in it! WELCOME BACK TO THE TOP, PETRA!!!

I've always admired Petra and enjoyed her playing but after her comeback, to watch her fight so hard and not scared to show her emotional vulnerability, I developed a great love for this girl. Happy for Osaka, but wishing Petra a bright future with more Slams.

Even though I support Naomi all the way, Petra Kvitova has a special place in my heart. I was left in tears when I watched this. You maybe won the second place, but you won millions of people's heart by deciding to come back and play tennis for us and give everything you got. Naomi and Petra thank you for being an amazing example for us all. I love you both so much. Hoping to see you win many more tournaments again in the future.

So much respect for Petra , what she’s been through must have been a nightmare, she’s shown courage and bravery that not many of us have, always want her to win she’s a great player and an even greater person. Hope she gets back to some kind of normality soon after what she’s been through. I will always support her.

Great match. Each player deserved to win. No grunting, shrieking, posing at the baseline, having a tantrum, shouting at line judges or umpires, smashing rackets.!!I Couldn't pick a winner. Wanted Petra to win because of her fight back from the terrible stabbing to her hand. I wanted Naomi to win to make up for the way she was made to feel after winning the U S open. An engrossing match.A worthy final. Well done both players. Pity there had to be a loser.

When Kerber's gone, Kvitova inspired me a possible winner, outside Wimbledon, which would be very significant for her at this stage of her career. Naomi's outstanding performance is an outcome of off-season spending, & technically & mentally she achieved some progress! Better than 2018, why not cham here?! Pity, Kvitova could not retain momentum created in the 2nd set. Loss always hurts, but her emotional speech tells not all negative feeling! The new world #2 (career high?) will fully enjoy herself 2019 season!
