This was the only heavy metal album I was allowed to have when I was a kid. Thanks God when I became a teenager I didn't care what my parents say and bought real metal albums like Slayer, Pantera, Metallica, Death, Judas Priest, etc and started doing drugs and alcohol, great memories partying and having fun with real heavy metal music, but still this album On Fire by Petra holds a special place in my heart and the first metal album I ever had

Yes Brother Mylon LeFever & Broken Heart were also a superb "Southern Fried (Memphis) Christian Rock" band in the 1980-90s. Look em up !

@psalm2forliberty577 I used to chat with Mylon when he was getting cleaned up and working as a janitor at Mount Paron in Atlanta. I used to see him all the time at the Metro Bible Study back in the day. Southern Rock at TopShelf.

Today we have our youth camp called, This Means War! It was started with this event but has become 4 days of intense games,teaching, video clips and activities to open the eyes of this generation to the battle that rages. Most of the music we use is current but we still slip in a couple of Petra songs.

Well,not true.they were CCM or white metal actually.but the point is :call it what you want,the sound was "that" and from 87 there were hints of AOR and Leppard in their albums,at least till 93.
