We used to sing this song in my high school more than 10 years ago. I just woke up with it in my Spirit. It is such a beautiful assurance for me from God. The Battle belongs to the Lord! Glory, honour, power and strength to the Lord!

This song helped me make it through the early parts of my military career from early 1990. I was stationed at Fort Gordon, Georgia (just outside of Augusta) when I first heard this song. I know this is a commonly-sung tune in many churches, but I like this Petra version the best.

Reading 2 Chronicles the failing of the pre-Christian kings of Judah was this desire to make an army and, war followed; earlier in the books of the Bible Satan entered king David in peace time because he counted the country's soldiers. He should have looked into what civil people were in Judah and this would have stopped the wars. According to this book, God was always in charge in their warfare!!! Should we today have an army?! When we put God's word up against what they call Religious doctrine and dogma. It's real clear. They aint centered on the Lord, just them selves and thier Feel Good Club. Seldom do we find a minister who is familiar with what Jesus taught and actually practices it.
