Think of the history of the siq. Think of the people that have walked through here thousands of years ago. The caravans of traders and travelers. An incredibly beautiful place absolutely steeped in history.❤ Thank you for sharing your experience with us .👍

Oh my dear God..Petra walk from Prowalks, this is incredible, this is just so unexpected, Isaac in Jordan 🇯🇴.....it's a dream destination, on my bucket list ..I am very thankful for this walk...Ciao..Dave from Toronto.

Hey Dave, Hope you enjoy it. I meant to have the full 5 hour tour of Petra posted up today. It is uploaded to KZbin, but it took 2 days to upload and still 2 more days after that and KZbin has not finished processing the video...so, I posted up this shorter version instead. I spent 2 days in Petra so this walk of the Siq is from my first day. The 5 hour video will include my walk from the second day.
@SarahAndrews242 жыл бұрын
Thank you Isaac, I am doing good, restrictions are being lifted slowly, just that this year we had a very cold winter.. cant wait for the full . 5 hr walk of Petra ..you are doing this great job, I think you are the pioneer of the walk videos...nowadays seems like everyone else is doing these walk videos...you started the trend, I still watch your old videos and enjoy them very much.....take care of yourself. Ciao.

Wonderful tour! Saw it on a big screen, felt like being there! Thanks for showing unusual views and the iconic ones. This helps people planning a trip, and those who are blessed to see things through your eyes. Maybe some people would like to reach out and buy some things from your travels, and help local merchants if there was some way to make that contact. Thank you for the great video!

Luckily it was pretty cool while I was there. Otherwise I probably would not have walked so far. The camels and donkeys there walk pretty slow, so it was faster to walk to get around anyway. My family and I rode camels at the Pyramids a few years ago. That was fun to do once.

Very interesting walk. personally felt it looked a little claustrophobic at times. Among the caravan gateway high cliffs. Plus that mid view hike up the hill looks precarious. Rock strewn. Not for the faint hearted. One wrong foothold and it's splat! You're getting scraped off the rocks below.

As the Saracen exclaimed 'Allah be praised. This is Indiana Jones territory'. Indeed. A far departure from crammed sidewalk cafes, tourist trap stores selling over priced knick knacks, throngs of befuddled tourists, you get the picture. People were dressed warm. Evidently cold there in March. Very interesting. Looks like the Time Machine is online.

The Nabateans and others inherited Petra and Little Petra, and these sites were essentially created by lost ancient technology far exceeding that of its later inhabitants as well as most things modern. Search on KZbin for - Brian Foerster + Petra - for an good explanation and tour....🌀
@ProWalks2 жыл бұрын
Hey Mark, yeah, I follow Brian Forester's stuff on KZbin and on Instagram. I haven't see his Petra stuff yet though. I do think there is some lost technology for sure...but I don't think they inherited these sites from ancient civilizations. I know the stone work at some sites show different levels of construction with the giant hexagonal stones at the base...but...we're just missing something.
