This is awesome. Squire editions know how to build a car. Alot of in house which is special. Bringing these great cars up to modern day standards mechanically and interior wise. Then shoving 550hp under the bonnet is just the ultimate fun and smiles per mile. Great stuff.

Well I'm going to have to criticise once again sunshine. That beast was deffo a beast, and you clearly had way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way too much fun driving it! 😁 But you say you love Landies, yet you referred to the lovely Series 2 as mere "An old series"! So that's an instant slap on the wrist for you Pedro my boy! And don't you forget it! Now I'm deffo not even close to being an expert on Land Rovers, but the first Land Rovers had no cabin, just canvas when required. But I believe that the Series II cabin had the rounded corner windows at the back and indicators on the front of the wings. Both of which can clearly be seen in the garage. The Series 1 (which obviously wasn't called a series anything at the start) was not required to have indicators at all during the first few years, and both of them had the headlamps between the wings. Then in the last couple of years of the Series II they were moved out to the front of the wings. And one fun fact is the the double roof that was made available from way back in the 1950s. Peeps with Landys in hot climates had a double skinned "Safari Roof" "option" to stay cooler. So the sun's heat didn't directly contact the actual cabin roof. Pretty good idea innit? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Land_Rover_series#/media/File:Land_Rover_Series_1_HT_(cropped).jpg

Personally the most impressive thing is Squire have found a niche market where they can open the wallets and extract as much as they like from those that have more money than sense! Was I the only one who saw the irony in the vehicle being worked on for one of our poor hard done by farmers?
@frankpoole9227Ай бұрын
Many would agree with you my friend, but Sir Ped is cherry picking by controlling the comments and likes!!! "Any thumbs ups, to comments that disagree with his content are quickly deleted!!! . Just like the posts that dissed him for removing the front trade plate, namely for drive bys and photo shoots!! . Abracadabra and they were gone!!!!!, as have many of his subscribers i would guess.

As others have said a euro millions/disposable income car. An LS3 will run you anywhere from $6500 up to $10000 for a race tune version and then the other bits and pieces and then there will be the account with your local garage for fuel.

Not sure about the gin palace interior. Won't last long on a farm - is it even off road capable? An interesting experiment in what happens when one's wallet exceeds good taste. Has to be going out to Dubai. I should qualify that by stating that I'm a dedicated series one owner, so luxuries like comfy seats, road springs, heater etc don't figure in my equations and 53bhp is adequate

Im now SOOO DISAPPOINTED hat i sold my 2014 L R Defender 110, 8 months ago. Never knew or heard of this Squire Company before this video of yours. Mine was a diesel though. I now have a Ineos Grenadier 6 cylinder diesel, a hell of alot better in my opinion than the Defender i had. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THAT INTERIOR MATE. Chevy reliability and pretty much bullet proof engine within reason. Such a change from Land Rover regular breakdown, Why would you not. LR here in Aus is one of the most unreliable vehicles. Even our Australian Armed forces swap out the Landy's donk for an Isuzu unit because those little diesels are 10 tim s more reliable. I like the 110 shape and style and with an LS I would say yes please. Even a Cummins turbo diesel swap. Great vid Pete.
@johnosullivan2017Ай бұрын
Love that Chevy V8, so much lo rev torque. Always sounds good. Why not go one step further and put the ZL1 supercharged in, like the Jensen FF restomod that Harrys Garage loved?
@hughmarcus1Ай бұрын
You’re talking about what happened 25 years ago
@michaelanderson3771Ай бұрын
@@hughmarcus1 Might be right about Aus defense no longer using Land Rovers but my son has worked on Range Rovers and Land Rovers during his last 5 years as an apprentice and now fully qualified mechanic. Land Rover in Aus is still the most unreliable 4x4 ( compared to Toyota and Others here in Aus) and the constant work through his mechanic shop shows the high level of faulty components. The only person making money from Land Rover here in Aus are the repairers. Even Land Rover Australia have excessively high warranty costs. Just stating our experiences. Like I said they look good but are poorly built, pooly engineered for repair and service and their proven poor reliability means you need a Chevy and an alternate gear box or transmission to make them worthy.
