I wish I knew this a couple weeks ago. My son found an egg on our side walk and it was hatching. I had zero experience in such an unexpected moment, and the results proved 😢 I stayed up all night the first night. Tried the mushed dogfood thing. Exhaustion got to me, and when I woke the poor birb wasn't. I probably buried it as I cried and apologized like it really was going to matter. I had failed the poor thing. I still feel so so bad. Now, I am trying to learn more so if this ever happens again I have more knowledge. I know that leaving it for the mom to come back to was the most logical move. However, we have several cats and dogs that neighbors bring outside. cats are feral. I still did no justice trying to save it. I am so disappointed in myself. So, thank you for this video.
