Here we see Petula on the fabulous set of "Hollywood Palace". . Unfortunately the sound on this copy is brutal due to age, but it's a shame that this series was never cleaned up and offered digitally. Ah yes, the Hollywood Palace. I got to this building 50 years later than Petula did, as seen here. By the time I got there they had turned the place into a dance club. It is located just north of Hollywood Blvd. in Hollywood.

I have never seen this Hollywood Palace video before as far as I can recall. Hollywood Palace was a popular variety show in the 1960's and early 70's that typically showcased top talent of the era. The video is blurry (as the videotapes have a tendency to decay over time if not re-copied on to newer media storage devices). "Don't Sleep in the Subway"" rose to #5 on the US Top 40 and was nominated for a Grammy Award in 1968.
