is there a additional brake "hook" vor the id`s? to for a higher friction while descending.. if yes how do i instal it?

Yes, there is an additional brake hook for the I'D. There are 2 options one that allows the rope to go in and out and one that does not. Jorn, the new ID has an add on feature, you will need to purchase it separately and add it to the ID.

I just bought an ID s and the gold side plate has 4mm of play from side to side . Is it meant to have play ?

It is meant to have a little bit of play to open and close. As the unit wears or is abused, that play may increase. Keep an eye on the gold side plate and how it closes around the post in the center of the unit. If the unit is worn too much or damaged, the slot in the gold plate moves too far and doesn’t capture the center post, in which case you would need to retire the unit
