Nice, I sprinted a Visa GTi for years, put an Mi16 in that. I also fitted the deeper GTi6 sump and extended the oil pickup. I removed the stock gate and used one of the works pts baffle plates, quite a mad design.

Never owned 1 but certainly regret it now . Couple of my mates had them infact 1 had at least 6 or 7 from 90ish . My second car at 21 was a 4 years old F reg Astra GTE 16V all 3 of usat the time thought the 16V GTE was the better car . I loved the Red top that much I followed it up with a 2 years old J reg Cavalier GSi 2000 which I adored. The friend that had quite a few 205Gti's also had several 309GTi's a red F reg and a beautiful J reg really dark green similar to BRG ..

Great work on the engine, stuff that I've always wanted in the 405's I've owned. After having two Mi16's, I'd love to see someone finally have the balls to keep everything just in the 405 instead of killing those cars and shoving it all into 205's. The 405 is a brilliant drive bone stock, and only about 150kg's heavier than a 205.

Absolutely! Not many 405s left at all now - or 309s for that matter. They pop up now and again on eBay but rare as hen's teeth these days

8 minutes of talking before even hearing the car really is the wrong way to do the video. In the first 30 seconds of there isn’t a video of it running or at least the sound you’ve lost 80% of your viewers. 🤷♂️
