Back in the days this 306 Maxi was putting big troubles to AWD and more powerful WRC cars like Mitsubishi Evo III and IV, Subaru Impreza WRC, and Ford Escort WRC, though being in a lower category. The 2 L N/A engine revving at 10.000 rpm sounds awesome. Ask Sébastien Loeb if it is not a rally car. He bought one because this car was his dream rally car as a young driver, but he didn't get the chance to drive it since he was rookie by the time. He rebuilt engine and chassis new in only 6 weeks time in order to race in french rally championship few years ago (Rallye du Var 2017). He was fighting for victory against a Ford Fiesta WRC (with only 4.9 sec gap) and ahead of Skoda R5, DS3 R5, 208 T16 and Hyundai I20 R5 cars until the 2nd last stage, when an engine problem forced him to abandon. And he did that with a 20 years old FWD rally car.

That was precise driving. Unreal pedal control or an amazing setup - perhaps even a combination of both. Lack of locking and wheel spin is quite impressive.

Drive for a lot of time in first person mode, then switch to third person mode. On first person mode you learn how much steering and counter steering you need to apply on each corner. On third person, you use that knowledge combined with the increased spacial awareness of the chase camera, making you drive much faster.

Got cinquecento with half worn stock brakepads and trash old cheap tires BUT cento weights about 700kg. From experience i belive its realistic to break form 200 to 70 in ~200m or 2 seconds if you have the right car. Cheers

The speedometer looks at wheel speed. They slow down a lot quicker than the car. But I agree there seems to be too much grip.

You can't. He records that part after he starts the stage, backs up and then goes to the start.

OK... after this video I'm sure I need to leave playing Dirt 2.0. I simply love all old CMR games played on keyboard. From what I see, there is no point of playing this one with keyboard. There is no way you will go so smooth driving and I don't feel I need to waste 1000 hours learning as it's just a game. The only positive thing is that I've bought this game for 4 Euro.
