If you look at their careers to this point, Mayfield and Drew Brees mirror each other. With Baker finally in his first stable situation, I see no reason that wouldn't continue. (Baker is just as smart, just as passionate, and has a better arm and wheels.) How cool would it be to have Brady and another Drew Brees back-to-back?!

You know I'm so sick of these fickle fans who wants to replace Baker Mayfield before the season even begins. First is Kyle Trask, then they want him to be replaced by a rookie who has been injured most of his career. I'm so sick and tired of fickle fans who can't appreciate a guy who plays with his heart and his soul and his spirit and everything inside himself and never ever gives up. Why don't you go and look at the number of franchises that have never won a super bowl. Why don't you go look at the franchises that it's been 20 and 30 years since they won a Superbowl. Baker took a small hometown discount so the bucs could sign other players. Imagine yourself with DeShaun Watson add a 69 million dollars a year against that salary cap. And all you can bring in is a bunch of tomato cans. Give the man his just do.

Calm down dude , some Bucs fans have different opinions about baker out of 6 seasons he’s only made one pro bowl and finished twice over .500 and shown inconsistent play. Bucs fans just want the best for the Bucs if baker can get pass the second round and not throw a game losing interception , then yea the deal it awesome.

Dude that was sarcasm,read it again. I am a bigger fan of Baker than 99.9% of the people you ever met. I was a Browns fan for 50+ years and dropped them when they screwed Baker's brains out. Chill out

@@jimbennett1519 I was a fan of his back at Texas tech and Oklahoma. I grew up in Cleveland. In a little town called chesterland. Went to my first browns game in 1964. And like you I was a browns fan till they screwed him over also. I'm just so proud of what he did in Tampa Bay. This is the guy that bet on himself with a 6 and 1/2 million dollar deal and parlayed it into 115 million dollars. The thing that made me so angry about what they did to him was all the lies. And then what other players have left the browns they tell the truth.

So happy Whitehead is back. Great news to begin the season

I prefer a Riverboat Todd approach from our coach. I liked how he handled the second half. He can be the Xfactor in his defensive schemes in the playoffs, and he has done ok with some of the homegrown talent. I havent been his biggest fan, but I can see the method of some of his madness. I think this could be a breakthrough season for Coach Bowles. LFB.

Watching a dozen running backs get signed in a day and none of them going to Tampa hurt to watch. Surely the Bucs are aware their running game is the league worst for the last 2 seasons.

We really need to draft a qb to sit and learn for a year
@someperson81518 ай бұрын
Why? Picking Jameis Winston first overall got zero playoffs in 5 years and made Mike Evans look like an afterthought. What makes you think drafting a QB will insure that player will play better than Winston or Mayfield? It's best to build a winning culture and sway a good free agent QB to want to come to Tampa by placing all the other positions in place. Also take a discount by doing that. Make the organization an attractive place to be. Fans could help by always being optimistic and not ripping on their own players.
@chrish24358 ай бұрын
Cuz this qb class is the best in the last 15 years at least the potential alone in the top 6 or 7 guys is better than any average qb in the league
@stevejohnson62488 ай бұрын
@@chrish2435 No one knows how good these guys are. Drafting a QB in the 2nd or 3rd round would be a waste of a pick. You should probably get used to the idea of Baker as the QB and worry about what they are doing to support him like maybe improving the running game. Baker won the division and a playoff game with the league worst running game.
