What a beautiful sister you have Peyman. Love it when you ate at a Pilipino restaurant. Dessert is great specially the desert. The long ingredient is coconut sports. Very sweet. The rice soup is called aros caldo also called gut to. Next time you eat there order steam rice and chicken adobo.

The yellow porridge you ate at Pita is called *Arroz Caldo* which is very much different with *Goto* (which may include fried tofu, tripe, or seasoned boiled pork intestines or a combination of any or all three. Goto and Arroz Caldo have a similar base which is rice porridge cooked the same way) The base for both Goto and Arroz Caldo is basically a rice porridge boiled in Chicken broth spiced with sauteed garlic, ginger and saffron.

The noodle like inside halu-halo is MACAPUNO or sticky coconut fruit.
@neilnailedit87395 жыл бұрын
the green jello might be the one we call as Nata De Coco. It's a palm fruit. There's another type which is oblong shaped which we call Kaong. The vermicelli your saying might be a sweetened coconut strips we call as Macapuno. We dont put artificial jellos in Halohalo. It's ingredients are mostly tropical fruits that are cooked in brown sugar to be sweetened. Their are a lot of variations, some are putting tapioca pearls. The special ones are topped with Ube Jam (purple yam), Leche Flan (egg custard) and instead of putting sugar, it is topped with vanilla ice cream. And most mistakes that first timers do is consume it without mixing it, having a bland taste on top and too sweet at the bottom. Here in Philippines it is already the dry season and you will find halohalo being sold everywhere.

Nice video!! I miss halo halo. i feel like there needs to be a part 2 of this Vlog, how about Jollibee chickenjoy? Barrio Fiesta in Burjuman? Or Paluto by Chef Boy Logro at the Water Front market at Khaleej Road. Oh and Arroz Caldo (rice congee) pro tip, squeeze a bit of fresh lemon on it and it adds a new flavor dimension 😋 It’s my go to food when I’m feeling under the weather.

Great video, your sister in-law is a very charming young lady. In Tagalog the rice & chicken soup is called "Congee" and the putting the rice and entree on the table and eating with your hands is called a "boodle fight".
