Jets hit a bit of slump at this point of the season. They went 3-3 the rest of the season. Usually happens with these types of “very very great but on a thin line” teams because of their offense. It’s happening again this season with the Steelers. If they had a better offense they would easily be Super Bowl favorites.

My pick for best Patriots team after 07 would be ‘16. It was kind of like the 2003-2004 years but with a much better offense. My personal favorite is the 2014 team. Hindsight is 20/20 but you could really feel the vibe a Super Bowl win brewing as the season progressed. There was a unique intensity to that team that no other team in NFL history has because they’re the only team to’ve successfully rebirthed their dynasty.

It's just sad that season ended as suddenly as it did. Then again, the Jets spared us from bigger heartbreak. Had we won that game, we would've beaten the Steelers in the AFC title game yet again, but would've lost to the Packers in Super Bowl 45. We barely beat them in the regular season and they didn't have Rodgers in that game, not to mention the Packers were red hot in the playoffs. I was a college freshman at the time and I opted to keep nearly all of my Patriots jerseys in my closet in my dorm room because I felt the team was SB bound. I wanted to be prepared in the event of a Patriots SB victory and wear the jersey of the Super Bowl MVP. After that, I would take most of them home when I left for Christmas break the rest of college and keep just a small handful.
