Hey all, I see a lot of misconceptions in the comments here. Just letting you all know: Peyton did not include my video footage here on his youtube channel, only the footage of himself - so a lot of people have the wrong idea about it and don't realise that I am singing on this version of the song. To be clear: I composed the song. I produced the song. I played all of the instruments. I did all the vocal harmonies. We both sang the lead vocal parts 50/50 on this version. The same duet on my channel features both of us in the video footage, which better represents the actual performances in this song.

I'm from Iceland an island far away from the rest of Europe where the vikings migrated 1000 years ago. Because of the isolation from other countries our language hasn't changed that much since the viking age and also because of the isolation I would say in my opinion that we are the closest that comes to being vikings. And the Faroe islands also of course. My last name is Eyjólfsson because my father's name is Eyjólfur and I am his son if I would have been born a girl it would be Eyjólfsdóttir because I would have been his daughter of course. This is how the vikings did it and we Icelanders still do it today while the other nordic (viking) nations don't. And I am kinda proud of that. Anyway I love this song.. sorry for my bragging..

Shear perfection, one of my 2 duets of Peyton Parrish has come true😭😭, all that's left is the far fetched dream duet of Peyton Parrish's voice coupled with Lindsey Stirling's sensational violin mastery for a soul searching song! But that's probably not possible

If it is fighting for a better life brother so bee it. We must walk these paths in order to learn. This is coming from a war veteran riddled with severe ptsd severe panic and anxiety attacks that almost cost my life ironically in the civilian world and not during my many missions. Live to learn brother...Keep up the fight you will be wiser and stronger but most importantly able to help others like ourselves...Wind and the waves will carry you, wind and the waves will set you free.

I'm losing my fight, my spirit yearns to be free and yet I'm bound by chains, my mind and body is almost broken and I don't know what to do in order to heal.

@@varenshan7731 Good days will come, brother. Chains may be steel, but they are not indestrucible. However, you have the indomitable human spirit. Keep fighting, brother, as we all are. Stay strong.

Just imagine. The warriors of old singing and drinking in the halls of Valhalla hearing this song and saying to each other. If only we had this version back when we were in battle. There would have been no stopping us. Our enemies shaking in there boots hearing our brothers in arms singing this version echoing across the battle field striking fear into there souls knowing that this day would be there last and the brothers that should fall in battle would arrive in the halls of Valhalla as fierce warriors of battle and hardened brothers in arms. Lo, there do I see my father. Lo, there do I see my mother, my sisters and my brothers. Lo, there do I see the line of my people back to the beginning. Lo, they do call to me. They bid me take my place on Asgard in the halls of Valhalla, Where the brave may live forever. Lo, I see here my father and mother. Lo, now I see all my deceased relatives sitting. Lo, there is my master, who is sitting in Paradise. Paradise is so beautiful, so green. With him are his men and boys. He calls to me, so bring me to him.
