I can’t get enough of his songs and chants. My Mom passed of a heart attack in April. I had started listening to Viking style music just after Christmas. I continue listening, and feel a connection to my Mom, Amma, Uncles and Aunts (100% Icelandic) and further back in my Nordic ancestry.

We were allowed music, many years ago in our room during the delivery of our son. We were the ONLY couple who’s baby was born to metal. *L*. Might I suggest also filtering this with classical music (wait till they hear the ending of 1812 overture *L*’). It helps to keep them open to all musical stylings, and therefore open to all kinds of persons. (Music is the final frontier of inclusiveness)

I have strong Scandinavian blood in me. I have been so fascinated by the Vikings and their culture. I have always felt close to the Vikings even as a little girl. When i found out i had a strong connection to the vikings blood related, i was so excited and happy. every time i hear songs about vikings i feel like i can feel the impact they made in life and i can sense their souls guiding me on the right path. I just recently found out that theirs a lot of Viking in my bloodline and ever since I found out Ive been so invested in finding out more about my background and it makes me very proud of who I am and I look forward to teaching my kids about our bloodline. Dont matter where you are from, I'm Heathen and I'm from wisconsin, also the Irish were very close to the germanic tribes we both shared each aspect of our traditions to eachother. Also thats all that matters is the power of the song to ones soul.

if you are of Irish and Scottish lineage there is a very very large chance that you are also scandinavian because unlike most other places that The Vikings raided they did very little actual pillaging in Scotland and Ireland instead they traded with them and intermarried with them Because unlike most of the rest of Europe Scotland and Ireland were very similar to them

My direct bloodline on my father's side was 100% Nordic until my father and originally hail from Bergen Norway. They were one of the original families to settle the village now turned city. Hence our last name Bergan. They changed the last E to an A when they immigrated here to North Dakota back during the early part of the First World War.

I don't know if it's my ancestry or just some tatse I've picked up throughout my life, but I've always been so drawn to Norwegian and Scandinavian history. Not just the viking ages. But this music fills me with pride and drives me to be more and more loyal and family oriented..
