My wife's Tiptronic 1171 is now only sewing in reverse. I'd like to remove the panel with that switch so I can see the back and see if it's not making contact inside. It has spring tension but I feel nothing else when pressing it. Is it an electronic contact to cause reverse or mechanical? I could watch your videos all day long. Fascinating to watch.

Hi There, You are so knowledgeable about these machines.I have been told my circuit board is unrepairable,Pfaff2170, It sews straight stitch fine,and embroidery with console fine too.Decorative stitches needle hits the side and breaks. Have you any advice please?

I have a Phaff 2044 that is doing the same thing, did you ever figure out what the problem was?

Theresa Passarelli it was the ground strap on the bottom which you have to take the bottom cover off to access it. Also make sure no wire connections are loose cause I may oh had one loose!
