PFD Pool Cues

I produced this piece about a Connecticut custom pool cue maker for Making It Here. It's a story about a husband and wife who use new technology (CNC machining) and old fashioned wood working to make ornate cues.

I’m fortunate enough to have been given a pfd cue, way back in 2000. 21 years later, I’m still in love with it.

because of the cost I've never been fortunate enough to own a pfd cue but Ive seen several and hit with some. He is talented beyond belief and the way his cues play reflect that. it's not often you find a cue that not only looks great but plays great too. I've seen tens of thousands of custom cues and pfd cues are by far my favorite. if you can afford one... get it because there's no way you could be disappointed.

justin buckler Believe it or not some are going for under 1000 now since the market is dry. Im fortunate enough to live near Paul he does some of my repairs, great guy and a true artist.

I have one of Paul and Ellen's cues and it will go the grave with me. I would have like to hear what is his favorite cue he has ever done. Would Ellen agree?

I would like a custom cue from you i like 20 oz n a soft tip i have. A predator n lucasi n two cuetec s. Im looking for a cue. Has a leatber wrap. N strong butt n make eyes twirl when thay see it. Looking to spend $1000. Or less

It's not a handmade cue as far as I can see if most of the work is done on a cnc machine, they are certainly decorative, and he has the ability to make a cue, but I would rather see a good hitting cue with prong inlays instead of a picture / inlayed on the cue. these are more like wall hangers than players cues. Just my opinion

I agree. Just another stick like everyone elses except for some better inlays. Farrule the same, joint the same..........

I bet you never played with one of his cue. He is one of the Hall of Fame cue maker and his cue plays phenomenal.
