Our boy NEEDS some billet in his life, it's pretty clear you've surpassed the limits of the OEM stuff when you're ripping blocks in half every other event lol
@gasparsperformance98413 күн бұрын
Only issue with that is that billet blocks can get really pricey when needing 2 or 3 to have as spares. Not that the billet block will break but a rod, piston, or valve breaking and causing them to swap the motor. I think a better financial solution for racers like this is having stronger aftermarket cast blocks produced.
@zimbabwejim71533 күн бұрын
@@gasparsperformance9841 I'm fully aware of the cost, but it'll probably be cheaper to get a billet block per a few seasons than a few cast blocks per every race. It'll also protect the rest of you parts, because I can guarantee you that you'll hurt quite a lot of things when you chuck the crank out of your motor. Special cast blocks are also a good idea, but that's not cheap either until someone decides to produce a million of them

Jamie needs to at least step up to dart blocks. Billet is a big step i don't think they are quite ready for.
@gasparsperformance98412 күн бұрын
@ This is exactly what I’m saying. I understand Dart blocks are expensive to some people, but they aren’t nearly as expensive as a billet block and Dart blocks can handle the power that they be throwing at it. The next limit is going to be the rods, Pistons, and/or valves.

1. Seen worse crashes than Jamies at Sick Week. 2. Fire supression should be mandatory at a certain level. Ideally 2 such systems, one operated by driver and another that goes off if driver has been knocked out. 3. Weld up all holes in the firewall. 4. No driver gets past burnout box without whatever mandatory fireproof clothing is needed for that specific class is worn, not just in the car. 5. You cant add safety afterwards...

I am so happy you’re safe, Jamie. That was scary af. EDIT- I don’t believe anyone in XFWD purposely oils a lane down. I also know that competitors need to push as hard as their budgets will allow. I don’t want y’all punished for choosing to run XFWD. That said, when the fields for events like World Cup are so big, and the money so huge, there needs to be adjustments on an event level to limit the impact of that competition and the level of performance y’all are demanding from your equipment on every other class. Not throwing shade, because I just want to watch cars getting pushed and guys going fast.

It isn't just the cost of the cleanup and down time, it's a Drivers Safety Issue as well and if it comes down to requiring billet blocks (and or maybe dry sumps so all of the oil isn't always in the engine) for some for the higher (over) powered cars classes then so be it...

All the idiots out there that can’t see the turbo Jamie is leaning agains and the block blown in half. Pushing the limits folks. This ain’t a daily driver, it’s a 8.0 or blow car. That’s my style completely. And this just makes me like pfi even more. Brent is the best Honda tuner on earth. Still, dude I’d be a proud of blowing my block in half like that. Your still alive and can do it again, the chunk of aluminum under the hood can be replaced 1000 times
