You may have noticed from my recent videos I am a pretty seasoned programmer, and I never thought about generating or modifying Falcon data like this. Very cool idea and a great quality talk.

Fantastic idea. I have looked into the XML code but didn't consider using Python to generate an XML file. I will need to look into that. I have used Max/MSP to generate values that could be placed into an XML file though.

The easiest way to make random or rhythmic Multi Envelopes is by dragging an audio file into the Multi Envelope graph! Drum and vocal loops yield interesting results.

Absolutely, you can see this in Simon Stockhausen's video for example: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fIGyl3tpl9ano7M In this specific case, I was seeking a more random envelope. I can easily envision setting up a set of tunable parameters to a script to produce different types of envelopes that include rhythmic, random, or glitchy components.

Why not use the Random Command in the Command-line Batch Processor Directly to generate random MSEG data?
@stickster11 ай бұрын
Why not indeed? Or use the Drunk or S+H modulators as I've shown in other videos. There's almost always more than one way to accomplish things in Falcon, and this is just one. Another reason I love this instrument so much!
