I was thinking of checking a deck like this out for the event as I don't have a good synchro deck of my own. Was hoping it would be a little cheaper but I see it'd be pretty nerfed without the Sr/ur you're using. Thanks for this.

sorry but with this deck you come not to far. I speak from experience as I have been playing this deck for weeks now. my tipp. play different vanilla monsters instead of just one. harmonizes much better with there can be only on. (rage quit warranty), use unexpected Dai to search a monster or a vanilla Turner monster to build Synchron Monster. traps like Waboku keep your monsters alive for a turn and you don't get a demage. Phantasma equipment spells are also missing. They give the Vanilla Monster protection, boost or piercing damage. And special the big guy from anywhere and once turn you can search a trap to destroy, negate, etc. and you can activated in the same Turn

You don't need to apologise - I appreciate any and all advise. I'm familiar with the build you're describing but I didn't choose it because it depends on Synchro summoning, as you've described. The builds I've uploaded today are all decks that can be used in this festival and other festivals. Because of that the value is that you (hopefully) won't have to spend gems/materials on cards to clear events in the future. Phantasm has many variants, including Phantasm Tenyi. The Demise variant was the first popularized version of the deck as a rogue option jn tournaments. However, when Card of Demise was limited this variant died and people mostly dropped the deck. Fortunately Master Duels banlist allows us to 3 copies again xD
