Phantasy star 4 is the one to play! It is up there with chrono trigger and ff6 as giants of the time. Awesome story that you don't need to play the other games to understand. But after playing 1 you are set. One of the better battle systmems with combined techs to do cool stuff. Well worth the play.

I enjoyed this! But one thing I'd have to point out is that while it's called a JRPG, PS is actually more of a dungeon crawler. Unlike FF or DQ, where the story is the main attraction and a dungeon is an obstacle to get to the next part of that story, the dungeons in PS are the main attraction, made for the kind of people that like to get lost in them, to make maps and search every corridor. Another Sega game like this is Shining in the Darkness, which is basically one town and one huge first person dungeon. PSII has overhead dungeons, but I'm told (not played that one myself yet) that it is very frustrating especially if you didn't enjoy the first too much. PSIII is oddly barebones due to its high ambition and short dev time. If you don't enjoy them, I still recommend watching longplays, then playing PSIV, which ties the story up perfectly. Also it's Lassic. LASSIC! XD

It could also be played on PS2 but you had to play Sonic 2 with a 2nd player to unlock it or something. Not all of the Sonic game in question thankfully.

It hurts to hear you say Lassic wrong over and over. You should have looked up how other youtubers pronounce it first bro lol Other than that great vid

Man, Phantasy Star Generations' cutscene is fugly, terminally generic looking.
