Beautiful build, I own this case and I don't regret the purchase one bit. I can't see any reason I can't continue to use it for years to come and multiple builds. I gotta say your presentation style is very entertaining! Keep up the good work.

A great and very in-depth review once again STS. Great to see another awesome Techtuber outside of the US market 😇👍. As a pc builder whose put together a number of Phanteks pc cases in the past, the most recent being the Shift XT ITX, I can attest to the quality, detail and accuracy of Phanteks case manuals and photos 👍😇🥰. As corny as it sounds, the manuals and plastic case screw container supplied are a real value add to their case line up. Awesome work Phanteks once again 🥰🤩

The gpu anti sag bracket does work, the gpu sags because the mounting point at the back bends. Pushing the back corner up and the front down. If you keep the back support from bending the front won't sag.
@STSYT2 жыл бұрын
In a week we'll have a TUF card in-house. That one should be heavy enough to demonstrate if that bracket really works.

Just wanted to note that the Phanteks SK Drgb fans you mentioned are *the same exact fan* as the MetallicGear Skiron Drgb (MetallicGear is a subsidiary of Phanteks) but cost twice as much. In general, stuff from MetallicGear seems to just be the same quality as Phanteks at a more reasonable price point. I'm not sure why their lower-end line has its own branding.
@STSYT2 жыл бұрын
Interesting. We've already started looking for MG cases, hopefully, they will come with those Skiron fans and we'll be able to confirm. Wouldn't surprise me though, many companies have a 'lower tier' sub-brand of the same quality. Take Xilence as an example. They are be quiet! but with half the price tag

@@STSYT not sure about the Neo Air, but the Neo G definitely comes with two, I have it sitting right here. It's also a pretty decent case, considering the price.

Been living with this case for 3 years - Not PERFECT, but damn good. I had to remove most of the sliding plastic cable covers to route cables to the edge of an EATX board, the Asus ROG Maximus IX Extreme. Also had to take a Dremel to the top radiator mounting bracket to mount a crossflow 360 Alphacool radiator to access the fill plugs. The case is a lot easier to move around if you remove the sides first.

It looks like in reviews I'm seeing elsewhere, that this case has plastic components that are typically described as "fragile". I think you mentioned in your review that the front panel can break when removing it?
@STSYT2 жыл бұрын
The front is all aluminum? Aren’t you thinking about the Enthoo 719 case? That one has a plastic front? This one is all Alu
@atlantic_love2 жыл бұрын
@@STSYT Nope, very sure there are components elsewhere on the case that were called "fragile" (because of plastic) on another review.
@piercebros Жыл бұрын
Eleven months reply GO: All the components are all 100% metal which makes this case one of the most durable on the market. The only plastic components are the removable dust filters and like, some cable clips or whatever. It’s good stuff. The only thing that I’ve managed to break is part of the fan controller which I somehow managed to set on fire during a cable management session the other month (I think I plugged the pwm cable into the power rail or something similarly retarded.) The cable melted but everything else is fine. It’s literally large slabs of glass and metal so I couldn’t even set fire to the whole thing even if I tried.

Hello STS i found this great content of yours👋 I'm currently using this cases different color from the launch of 2018. I wonder how good is the paint quality on this MW version, kinda scared of the paint pealing off. I wish Phanteks could launch next generation Evolv X sooner or later. 4yrs is pretty old for a product these days🥲 Evolv X 2 would be perfect for 2023. Have a Merry Christmas🎄

Thanks for the detailed info. I really like how there are 3 vertical mount slots. Would there be enough air flow for an RTX 3070 Ti if the front one is used? I want to be able to use an ICY BOX M.2 Cooler with Fan for the M.2 SSDs, and they would stand out from the motherboard by 55mm. It looks like I could do that from the video but I'm not sure.

is the Phanteks riser cable for vertical gpu mount really essential? I was hoping to use the new CoolerMaster PCIe 4.0 Compatible one. Not being able to have a PCIe 4.0 one puts me off the case if that's true.

Even if this front panel doesn't affect performance much I'd still prefer to have mesh there. What's the point of installing argb fans on the front and then hide them behind solid panel?
@STSYT2 жыл бұрын
Probably to see them from behind. Usually the argument would be that you can see the RGB as it's shining through in the sides. But in here, that's due to the RGB strips, so I get your point.
@Lennox0322 жыл бұрын
The whole front of the case is blocked off, it's horrible for air circulation.
@STSYT2 жыл бұрын
Not completely, the air gaps left and right are pretty big and letting enough air through. Mesh will always be better of course, but if you can space a °C, this works just fine
