I have to say that I fully support case manufacturers offering their cases without fans at a reduced price. Most builds I’ve ever done I’ve removed the supplied fans and replaced them with a uniform set to fit the build. Consequently, I have a load of fans I’m never going to use and have paid for in the case price. Quite like this case, will consider it for the next build.

Just a thought on the CPU temps, you talk about how the CPU runs at about 95 degrees regardless of how much cooling you threw at it, so it's a bit more difficult to demonstrate the impact of increased fans speeds, increased power draw does at least demonstrate that the processor is doing more work at the same temp at least, in future it may be useful to include the clock speed the CPU was running at in situations such as this? Regardless, I enjoyed the video, think that's a case worth considering!

You make a good point, however the snag is that the answer is complicated. The easy approach is to use Intel Raptor Lake as you can lock down the CPU power and then you get some movement on temperature. AMD Zen 4 is much more dynamic and the two core complexes behave differently to each other. One chiplet ran consistently at 5.2GHz while the other was running at 4.95GHz with the fans on full and CPU drawing 205W, 4.925GHz with the fans at 1,200rpm and CPU drawing 196W, and 4.90GHz with the fans running at 800rpm and CPU draw of 189W. The power draw at the wall socket correlates with those observations. Leo

@@KitGuruTech How interesting! I wouldn't have expected to see such a difference between the chips, thank you for the additional information though, much appreciated, the process of reviewing hardware seems to find new ways to make life difficult for reviewers 😅

Thank you for posting this. This is the first review I have been able to find that shows the Phanteks Glacier One 360D30 AIO in action. I would have preferred to see it in gaming and and productivity not just a stress test, but this is still useful and very valuable.

Great review! I would love to build a hard line watercooled system in this, nice compact form factor, but i wonder if there is room for 2x 360 rads (top & side) with access for required tubing for them? Looks very tight.

great detailed review. i must say that i thought that this case had a more clear glass that wasnt so tinted, as ive thought ive seen in other reviews and images, i dont know if im missing something about that? but that was one of the main appeals in difference with this case for me. without that its kinda just another case.

Hello! I bought the new version ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III 360mm for my CPU and Phanteks NV5 case. People say the new "3" version of ARCTIC Liquid Freezer AIO 360mm doesn't fit the Phanteks nv5 case anymore? However the previously ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II 360mm "2" version does fit the Phanteks case nv5, is this correct?

If you'd do a build not using the most demanding hardware it would be rather neat... Phantek makes great cases, build quality is excellent. I have the P400, a budget case that impressed me a lot!

We adjust the hardware to suit the case. The NV5 supports a large graphics card so it makes little sense to test with a tiddler. As for the CPU, if it supports Ryzen 9 successfully you can be confident a Ryzen 5 or 7 will be happy. Leo

Considering this as an open air test bench (yes, I'd remove the glass). Also, @KitGuruTech Enthoo Pro 2 Server edition review when?
@vensroofcat641511 ай бұрын
Inclined PSU and front fan while reasonable solution at first glance, in fact doesn't save any mm for the height so rather useless. Reduced length PSU shroud on the other hand is long overdue. It should help cooling power hungry flow through GPUs significantly. Cases have had holes there and Fractal pop did some moves closer to this too. Most PCs don't have HDD these days, it's all superfast nvme. And those who really need huge HDD will probably go for NAS drives anyway.

Seems strange that such a large case doesn't support 140 fans. Good value though, as most people don't use the fans supplied with the case, especially if they are bog standard 3 pin as is often the case (if you'll pardon the pun).
