I still use 3.5 drives for my media server storage - I tend to lean to having my build be an all in one solution, not just for gaming etc. I do like the fact that Lian-Li is still including a good enough amount of support for 3.5/2.5 drives.

Yes exactly! Do all be all machines! If you're spending all that money for a gaming PC you might as well realize its other potential, because a gaming PC is just a good PC with RGB. @@jcg702 The X670E Taichi is a stable board. No issues with it accepting the DDR5 6000 CL30 and running it on it's XEPO profile. The way it allocates it's PCIe lanes was also something I looked into carefully before buying it. The Artic Freezer II 420 is excellent. But know that if you're going to put one in an FD Torrent case, you will have to trim the bottom fan bracket with a Dremel to make it fit. You can find pics of this online. Usually I do not find myself typing a comment like this but this time I truly feel it is needed. This is something that I have noticed in your videos from time to time on products that I know a few things about, things that you either forgot to mention or did not notice to mention (maybe no research about the product prior to shooting a video) 1. The front pillar is removable making the case look open and like an aquarium 2. The MB tray is removable, not just slide it up. You can also slide it down to make room for 2 x 120 mm fans on the top. 3. It is not recommended but you can fit 4 x 120 mm lian li fans on the top and bottom of the case. They do fit. 4. Completely glossed over the fact that the front IO can be moved from the front to the side like the original EVO and that it has 2 USB 3 plugs that most MBOS do not have and you need a splitter to make them work on a regular MBO 5. Enthusiasts of Lian Li know the difference between the fan controller of the 3 fan pack and the galahad fan controller but it would have been usefull to show it. (this one is a nitpick) Sry for any spelling errors, ENG is not my main language

One of the most underrated features of the O11 series is the inclusion of the 3.5in hard drive cage which is hot swappable. So many new cases either omit it completely or just throw in a cage at the bottom of the chassis which is the least accessible part of the case. The 3.5in drives are wonderful for archive storage and the newer ones are virtually silent. If you don't want to rely on external storage systems which add to clutter and can be expensive (for NAS), or just need an extra layer of backup, the Lian Li implementation here is top of the list. There are many things to like about this case but for me this feature tops all.

So, these becomes popular for sure, so I can use my Corsair 800D tower again, if you put a big motherboard in that, it looks like there is a ITX board in it haha. And it has grommets to use outside water coolers. Like the ones they use for cooling fish aquariums, paired with a rad and pump, they give a lot of cooling. And cost only €139 and can cool till 4°C which is overkill I know. But on temps like 20°C they are very quiet and be enough for cooling most CPUs. Especially those with high hotspots :)

13:07 I personally use 3.5" and 2.5" drives because you simply cannot get 16TB+ M.2 drives, and even if you could have 16TB+ M.2 drives then there would not be enough M.2 slots to get 64TB-128TB of storage. I have ~88TB of RaidZ2 pool with some nvme caches, cannot get that amount of storage out of M.2 drives without several 4xM.2 cards. My main system is actually custom Qemu VM build to be able to play all games in it (to hide the vm from os and all anti-cheats, for Valorant).

I feel like the comment about nobody using 3.5 and 2.5 inch drives anymore is a little out of touch. Not everybody can do a new build every year or is working with an unlimited budget. I love my 0-11 Dynamic, and it's filled with SL-120 infinity fans too. What I don't understand is why, with all the technology around today, Lian-Li haven't made a reverse function for the fans in their L-Connect software. That way you can have all the infinity faces showing without having to buy "reverse" fans (not available from my parts supplier here in Aus), but have some as intakes, and others as exhausts without the need to cover parts of the fan with the back of the fan cage.

Reverse blades can be great if you are going to pull air. The blades are further away from the main restriction, thereby reducing the noise at the same airflow level. This is also probably one of the reasons why Noctua did not configure the NF-A12 with thicker blades which go all the way to the frontside of the fan.

At 19:00 - about the GPU power cable and the limited space up to the side panel: you should have mentioned that the GPU can be mounted vertically right where you mounted the side 3x140mm fans. It can be mounted with the video connectors facing up or down. If you mount them upwards, the power connector would be oriented towards the side grommets. You could rout the power 12VHPWR directly through the grommets into the GPU, no need for a 90° bend or CableMod adapter. Anyway, good to see another build made in the black version O111D Evo XL. And using the Infinity fans too, which complement it perfectly. BTW, at 05:56 - there are no 140mm Reverse fans currently in Lian Li's portfolio, so they couldn't have sent some to you (unless they have some yet unreleased prototypes... one can only hope). I'm in the process of gathering the necessary "shtuff" to make my first custom loop, and I'm gonna build it inside this exact black very roomy "huge real estate" of a case. Already purchased it actually, it's sitting patiently on the balcony waiting for the rest of the parts to arrive (you can read that as "waiting for some extremely welcomed Black Friday discounts" that my wallet will be very happy to benefit from :) ) Received today the 10 Infinity fans (9x140 and 1x120mm for the back), which I got at a very good price. They are the White version actually, because I'm making a "black and white" build. Already did all-black format in the last 4 builds, and I want a change. And I don't really like white cases (not to mention O11D Evo XL White is actually painted... I would choose brushed aluminum over painted every day of the week). So going black and white is the perfect middle ground. All that aside, I hope to see you do a custom loop in this case in the near future, would be very very useful for a lot of water cooling beginners ! The case offers a ton of options and room for custom loops, if you can find the space in your house for it's size (not to mention the finances to get it) ! Cheers!

I have a Lian Li O11 Dynamic XL and it is without a doubt my favorite case.

absolutely gorgeous for such a simple build, think the white versions with the white infinity fans and vapor wave colors on the RGB for my next build

Finally an O11 I can see myself using. Once I have my NAS up and running that is. Those two 3.5" hot swap bays made it perfect.

A v3000+ build would still be nice.

It's an HD-Audio Extension cable, I believe it is for if you convert the case to be the other orientation, which puts you MB upside down so the pre-wired FP audio connector can reach.

Thinking of doing an all black themed with this case. Thanks for the video Jay!

I got the dynamic evo, it's amazing. I got those reverse infinity fans in the bottom and the side also, they make it look so clean!

Oh man you got me considering replacing my Fractal with this case. I too have the same mobo and it was a pain to get it to fit in my current case. I made it work but not to my initial vision for the case.

Are those 90 degree 4090 power adaptors safe ? Looks like they're all being recalled.

I just transfered and upgraded to this monster and im absolutely in love with it. Came from the standard 011 DE. TBH lately ive spent more time staring at my PC than my monitors lol its just beautiful and such a joy to build in.

Great video. Lian Li never disappoint. I'm using the Lancool II atm and love it. Does everything I need for my 12700k 3080 12gb build. Thanks Jay!

Now, this is awesome. I'm looking at this case for my next build, and you just happened to make a video a week before. With basically the same parts

Very similar to my build that im going to work on today, and attempt to self film. Kinda should have waited for the NV9 but i got impatient. No sponsors so got everything with my money and mixed and matched brands based on the factors that made them the best. I think ill run the AIO fans to the mobo instead of the Lian Li controller for piece of mind. What RAM did you use? I have the standard 64gb 6000 kit, but also got some 96gb kits using Hynix A Die that i hope to get working well. Its going to be a TIGHT fit with the eATX board and oversized 1500w PSU. Perhaps try a 90 degree USB header adapter for your home build, I'll have to use one on this build to get it to fit.

You didn't go over the 3x420mm rad support or the removable front edge support pillar. That USB 2.0 extension cable is for HD audio if you invert the case.

I used several LianLi cases in the late 90s and early naughties (00s).. Now the only Lian-Li case I want is one of their giant computer-desk cases, just because they're beautiful and I'm old and a sucker for old-school horizontal cases anymore.

This might be the coolest case I’ve ever seen. I was at a MC yesterday and saw it and was very close to walking out with it lol. Holding out till the next gen or when my EVGA 3080ti (hybrid) dies (hopefully never). But water looping in this would be so sick. What a gorgeous case. Thx Jay!

I just bought this case for my new build, cant wait! Still running my build from 17 that I moved to an 011 Air when it came out. The EVGA 1080ti hybrid still hangs in there but I think its time, I got my moneys worth out of it.

Jay really on form with this one. Jay and Phil and so funny. Love their sence of humour that they inject. I always look forward to a new video.
