I just replaced my Phantom 4 pro yaw arm using this video. Yaw arm was bent from minor crash. This video was priceless in disassembling and reassembling the drone. Thank you very much. Now on to my Mavic Pro to replace or repair the gimbal/camera on it. Good luck to me.

Many thanks for posting this video. Helped and reassured me a lot when repairing my drone after crash. The yaw arm snapped off as well as the gimbal cable. Being in the UK I was unable to order genuine parts but a quick search on eBay got me the cable and yaw arm for approx £25. Took just over an hour to repair and drone is now fully functional. I recommend investing in top quality screw drivers when opening the gimbal as they are difficult to open.

The reason for the tough screw removal is the blue thread locker on the screws. It is released by heat. You may consider using a soldering iron on the screw head a few seconds before you try to remove them. You can get thread locker to relock the screws into place at an auto parts store. It only takes I tiny bit to be sure the screws won't come out in flight.

Great video, awesome detail on the repair! I was ready to comment at about 24:45 that you forgot the gasket (I am a noob, I don't know where it goes), but then less than 30 seconds later you put it in the camera housing. :-) Regarding those ribbon cables, DJI has given very, very little clearance around the corner of the camera for the camera to pitch up and down freely. In the case of my P4P, I actually found a little glue ball interfering with the free movement of the camera, it was stuck onto the camera body, which must have rubbed off from the ribbon cable after several flights. I learned a lot from your video. Thank you.

Thank you. had Exact same damage. Following video right now. And done. Noticed a slight difference in the gimbal cable from yours. The one replaced and the replacement had an unused (small, like a branch) connector before the connector going inside the drone.

Wow great video. Was searching for something different but decided to watch this anyways and was not disappointed. Definitely got my inner tinkerer excited. Though I don't hope to have to repair my drone ever. I think I definitely found a great source for repair if I do. Just dealt with DJI CS to replace a brand new remote that was faulty. It kept beeping as if they battery was low even though I charged til the lights turned off. I even tested how long it would last when I turned it on and it would just beep and in system settings say 1%. That 1% lasted and kept beeping for over 6hrs. Anyways great video, thank you very much for the education.
@noelvazquez33717 жыл бұрын
Foster McLaughlin I do not know if it's your problem the beeping happened to me that the control sounded without stopping and a red light in the corner charged up to 100 percent it turned it off and the beep was not removed I lowered it update thinking that it would be removed would not be I removed when I was about to buy another control look in the control calibration of the control moving the left and right controls at the time the beeper was removed was the lack of calibration of the remote control maybe it is the same problem that I had try it .

Where do you get the cover on the back of the yaw bracket? That part was damaged on mine and need to replace that part as well. Not the speed control plate but the curved flat cover that goes up the back of the yaw bracket to protect the ribbon cable. Thanks for a great video!

Great video, helped me a lot! I was able to complete this repair and the gimbal operates perfectly now. However, I need to repair or replace the main gimbal circuit board (the one the SD card goes into). Are you able to repair or replace those?
