Hi Jonathon, loved the build series, My Skymaster F-4 arrived in Australia last month, I am j7st about to order the unilight kit with afterburners, do you remember what size and type unilight afterburner rings you used?
@thelightersideofrc4 ай бұрын
Thanks and congratulations! We use the fancy ones from unilight. Not sure of the size.

Is it possible on those to have the canopies open and close like the real thing? I use those solder sticks on my train layout of many other applications.
@thelightersideofrc Жыл бұрын
It is and it was part of the plan but we scrapped it. Unfortunately on the smaller aircraft and with the canopy done it’s very difficult to make happen. On the larger size version it’s easier and would be an option best ordered from the factory

i really like how you explain youre way of work 👌👌👌 i was looking at the twin engine tanks ...those 2 pipes are the outlets ? how do you get the fuel under those pipes ?
@thelightersideofrc Жыл бұрын
Thanks Dave! Don’t fully understand your question but I think I do. I always look at the fuel path from filling at the bubble traps. So you start filling at the bubble trap. It goes to the bottom fuel tank. One line is a pickup one is a vent. The vent goes to top of tank. So you fill through the pickup and it comes out the vent. From there both lower tank vents go to the upper tank. Now in the upper tank there is 2 pickups and a vent on top. So both lower tanks share the upper tank.

Seems the fule plug and line are facing the back of the plane, how do you do the pickup tube inside the tank to make sure the plunger is always in the fuel?
@thelightersideofrc Жыл бұрын
Multiple tank setup and UAT's help with that.

Awesome video… How much autonomy of flight did you have on the previous F-4? with only one engine...Do you know where I can get plans to build my own planes?
@thelightersideofrc Жыл бұрын
Sorry I don't understand your question. If your looking to build your own composite aircraft, your basically making your own plugs and going from there.
