WoA 2023's Metal Battle was one of the hardest yet for the bands, everyone that attended the festival was already tired as fuck and exhausted because of the absolute shit weather and mud everywhere. But it was still a good time and everyone pulled through. Can't wait for this year. \m/

They complain because they're tone deaf and don't understand the melodic Power Metal sound underneath that the band exhibits.

@@rikiyabut Those type of dudes, you'd think they would appreciate the heavy riffs or harmonies floating on top of the double bass drumming in power metal, but it actually bothers them, because the movements are melody-focused and they're programmed to only listen for aggressive or "grim" energy to compliment the edgy image they want to portray. They usually only like 2 maybe 3 metal subgenres, and those tend to be thrash (guaranteed), death (brutal or technical), black, or groove. And they always bitch about the melodic subgenres like power, traditional, prog, NWOBHM, etc. I've observed this narrowmindedness for about 30 years now, it's the same predictable thought patterns over and over again between each person, across the whole planet, even though they've never met each other 🤣
