@@wickedxe Mr Carl Laemmle feels that it would be unkind to present this picture without a note of friendly warning. We are going to tell the strange affair of The Phantom Of The Opera, a mystery never fully explained. We told Universal Studios workshops in Los Angeles that this this is the very chandelier thats recorded in the famous disaster. The workshops in Los Angeles have managed to repair it and wired part of it to the new electric light. Perhaps Carl Laemmle feels that it would frighten away the Ghost of so many years ago with a little illumination. Gentlemen.

The organ is the king of all music. It captures the joy, sadness, pain, anger, wonder and so many other emotions. Hearing this beautiful instrument in person in a large cathedral or church like that is one of the greatest things that has ever happened to me. If you ever have the chance, do listen to it!
@ClaireZ19935 жыл бұрын
I am not ashamed to admit that I cried during part of this. The organ is such a perfect instrument to use for this musical. It can be dark and foreboding, soaring and grandiose, and romantic and intimate. Well done and I wish I could congratulate you in person for being so talented.

But the Original film was made in 1925 with Lon Chaney in the lead role in Universals motion picture but banned in Britain until the talkie version 1930. Other film versions included Universals WW2 Remake with Claude Rains in 1943, hand Hammers version with Herbert Lom in 1962.

Nicely done, and from the comments you got the girl too.😙. Well done. Your arrangement is interesting. Respect the instrument in the room, and enjoy the the room's delay. You rush through sections that you might be less comfortable playing. Don't let those fingers run away from you on the keyboard. Take your time and go for accuracy.

The issue with this recording is not the skill of the organ player. With an organ, you always have the problem that the instrument needs time to react and then the sound needs time to travel back to the player/audience. The room must be buit in such a way that no disturbing echoes and time lapses occcur. IMHO, in this case, the microphones were placed in the wrong spot or the room is assymetrical. Or the organ has some defficiencies.
@ronswanson81415 жыл бұрын
That's the same thing with Led Zeppelin's "When the Levee Breaks". It was recorded on a staircase and therefore couldn't perform it live because the sound would be different.
