Omg can we talk about Carlotta? She is so young and she is one of the best Carlottas I've ever seen
@177RT6 жыл бұрын
That was really good. It's easy to forget that they are high school students. All of the main characters impressed. Carlotta especially. Good luck to all if any of them decide to pursue a career on the stage. :)

I have watched (literally) dozens of amateur and professional productions...this one was among the very best! The Phantom, Christine, Raoul and la Carlotta were superb. The rest of the cast were excellent as well!

I watched the whole thing and I don't even know where this high school is. Very good amateur production with interesting interpretations in both acting and blocking. A cpl of ppl objected to the Phantom being touchy feely, but I think it makes sense, especially in Point of No Return. I also like that despite this choice they didn't follow the popular implication that Christine was still drawn to him at the end. There's no point in doing a verbatim recreation of someone else's art (e.g. Karimloo/Bogess). All that said, yeah, the orchestra did have some tonal problems but they were mostly very good. Thank you for posting this for us to see it.

Both Broadway and Movie, the entire high school production team and cast did it very gracefully in this. I loved Kelly Smith as Carlotta Giudicelli so much, she nailed it with the impression of Minnie Driver from the movie itself. I wish my high school had a huge-ass theater budget to do this production o-O

This was one of the best high school production. Great singers! Carlotta blew me away with her acting chops and her voice! Wasnt convinced by christines acting but wow her voice..! I loved the piangi here- great voice! Loved raouls deep singing voice. Phantom was done well too- full of emotion and beautiful voice. Its not easy sounding emotional and sing beautiful at the same time. Super impressed all in all. Altho the orchestra made me crack up so many times 😂😂 the out of tune violin and flutes at the most emotional points killed me lol

FLAWLESS! EXQUISITE! SUCH CAREFUL VOICES AND ACTING! SUCH WONDERFUL BLOCKING! THE ORCHESTRA SINGS! LET THE PHANTOM, RAOUL, AND CHRISTINE COLLECT THEIR STANDING OVATIONS. I cried watching this lovely production. Roses to everyone. Andrew Lloyd Webber would be gleeful. Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman would definitely want to hand awards out. The gentleman who played Raoul would be visited by Antonio Banderas who would say, "You are a star, a younger version of me emerging with fiery talent." The chandelier itself is a focal point. Yours was the best I've seen in so many productions on KZbin. Bring out The Phantom for an encore of "The Music Of The Night" and the brokenhearted lament of "All I Ask Of You". Everyone involved in the show, come out and be seen onstage! 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹

That must have been some budget they had to work with! When I was part of the stage crew in high school, our teacher would send us out to raid the wood shop and art department for supplies. Meanwhile, the jocks got a new video recorder to watch themselves practice. I still can't believe they let us crawl around on that catwalk so high above the stage, lolol. Good times ;)

This high school production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's The PHANTOM of the OPERA is so brilliant The cast are brilliant especially their singing and acting Jeremy Sickles as the phantom, Katie Rossiter as Christine, and Kelly Smith as Carlotta are awesome and yeah Bryce Wagner as Raoul is good too. The editing and cinematography is excellent, and The sets and costumes are phantastic kinda like a combination between the Broadway version and the 2004 movie adaptation of the beloved musical. Despite a few flaws I give this high school production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's The PHANTOM of the OPERA a solid 9/10.😉👍

Even that it's exactly like in the Broadway version I can tell that few of the dialogue, sets, and costumes in the El mouto the way I see it are similar to the ones in the 2004 movie adaptation of the musical and these are very impressive.😎😎😎😎

There are so many things wrong with this production, even for high school. The biggest so far is how touchy, feely and outright sexual Music of the Night is. OMG! That is SO not how the Phantom would act. Music of the Night is as far as I have gotten so far and I'm about ready to stop watching. The Phantom and Christine actors can sing better than some high school productions I have seen. I will give them that.
@thejelliclekat4216 жыл бұрын
Emily Mixay I was cringing while watching Music of the Night. The blocking is off. If you watched POTO and memorized everything by heart you know that the Phantom is supposed to embrace at "Floating, falling, sweet intoxication" part. I'm about to watch Notes/Prima Donna scene. I hope Carlotta will not disappoint me.
