@EricDMMiller i think they are better because they bypass the need for chaff The stealth upgrade should not up their damage without some downside like reduced range

@@PropheticShadeZ Not sure this is true, if you don't have chaff/a bunch of chaff clear your rays tend to get stuck on crawlers etc and then don't restealth very much

Thanks for the video! I have a question about the first unit drop in the first game; is there a reason you weren't considering the wasps at 6:10? I thought they looked quite good at mucking up the phoenixes, which were the only threat to your phantom rays at the time. (is the idea that you wanted the rays to fulfill a tankier role for the army or it being too easy to deal with a small amount of wasps/low impact play compared to the other options? Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated!)

the game is looking very good for building multiple phantom rays. He is not gonna pick the marksmen since he is already into phoenix. So the best counter what he can build against what im planning to do is boats. I have zero single target damage and the marksmen give that and they are excellent against boats which is my primary threat. The wasps are not a good long term solution and I feel like I am in a very dominant position in the game so I can just play safe and eventually win

Why do you use the mobile beacon so many times at different units and finally tkae the crawler in the left corner like all rounds before? Only because you thought about using differently or is there some benefit?

So i got two questions: 1. What is it with the symmetrical push? Some time ago it was meta to push one sided with the balls, resulting in way better first rounds. Why is every1 pushing both sides now? I am prolly biased, after seeing the defenders win here 😅 2. 2nd game round 4: why did you tech suck on the balls before there were even tanky units on the board? I did not understand that at all. 1. oil, i would push same side vs sledges though 2. lev2+photon coating, the tech gives health. He always has something like arclights saber farseer etc

You can check out his Mobile Beacon guide video for the longer explanation. Basically, it faces the crawlers forward so they won't move to the side to attack the flanking enemy crawlers when the turn starts.

Idk if they have armor. I feel It just ends in a tie unless you have another unit to actually kill them. Which puts you behind on deployments.

@@SurreyEZ yeap, it's really good against them. Especially if all the damage relies on the rays. Offcourse you need a phoenix/marksman/overlord/rays/etc. behind. A lot of players don't have the barrage on rays to counter the am, (but even in this case you're good because the reload time might just makes the opponent composition not working at all.)

It's probably there for gameplay purposes of really indicating that they're firing. Or maybe they fire the rockets and hold on to them for a second before releasing for some bizarre reason, haha. But yeah, I can totally understand your point.
