My Dad bought some property west of Donner Lake proper and I remember listening to the trucks grinding up the old US-40. That was back In the 50's. That's how I went to sleep at night.

This brings back some very fond memories. I started with the (Lazy J)Johnson motor Lines in 1975, then I hired on with McClean, (double diamond), then Smith Trucking, then yellow freight and now I’m retired missing the good ole days of trucking.

I drove a H model Mack and pull a trailer just like , when I was working for Carolina Freight .Boy does that photo bring back memories. This would of bin around 1970 or so. .
