Cheers from OC.. yeah that OC, I'll be 150 years old this year, we were Death Rocker kid's for sure.. goth was Goth , no offense, just it was tough enough having to stick up for myself at all times, just wearing Creepers etc, couldn't image what those dudes survived in makeup and skirts.. Gang members, Jocks and Punks, Neo Skins.. we had to fight for it, made us mean a bit, but we earned it.. if you have any recommendations on modern Bands please.. let me know.. Alter of Eden for example.. peace from @∅

Excellent review! The formatting sounds like it might it frustrate me a little bit, but overall this sounds like a great book on a genre and scene that doesn’t have nearly enough!

As more Band genre tags are created... "Goth" being applied one example... To so many Bands, The Cure & Now even the Smiths.. Tagged as Goth... Deathrock.. fringe Punker Kids.. Dr Martens vs Witch Buckle boots, Jean Jackets with patches buttons etc.. vs Makeup and skirts that Goth Boys wore.. My opinion is from Southern California.. I will always be that DeathRocker kid... @∅

I think it would be really interesting, if not maybe kind of dull, to have a person by person account of events from my old bands. I say that just because I'm sure none of the events, as I see them, would match up to their views. I'll have to pic up that book and read about way more interesting/volatile people. lol

Woooah this book sounds dope man, I love the realness of what you mentioned regarding there being so many differing perspectives from individuals in a music scene, very accurate, at least in the scenes I've been a part of. =P Some big names mentioned!! Would love to get a peek at their brains. Sounds info packed I'll try to get my hands on it after I'm not broke from getting my hands on so many albums lately and others I am still to obtain ahaha (one of which will be the collab you did). Also did you hear about the coming Rozz Williams - In His Own Words book/release?? Very keen to sus.

Everytime I do a bandcamp dive my wallet cries. I did look up that Rozz Book. It could turn out well if handled correctly. I'm actually still waiting on the Christian Death Indiegogo book that looks like it might arrive next year at this rate
