yay early squad. This is such an important video. I have had patients and the general public ask me about this very question. People think we just dispense medication. But that's not true. We are experts on medications and need to be used by healthcare providers and patients for better therapeutic outcomes. We are at the forefront of drug discovery right from drug discovery, drug distribution to patient administration.

Abraham, I have been bedbound for most of the last year and just because one single day of being extremely sick, which was also the anniversary of my mothers death, I arrived just before closing time on just one single occasion before closing time. This was just after the pharmacy changed their opening hours with without my knowledge, my pharmacist screamed and shouted at me for this. Afterwards a concerned friend who saw me in tears crying and was worried about my wellbeing, without my knowledge or me being present, tried to explain what happened and made just an informal complaint. The pharmacist is now refusing to provide me my prescriptions which is extremely detrimental to my health as it's the only local pharmacy to attend. What are my rights? I am so sick of feeling ill, had enough of it all and feel like killing myself.

Sometime could you advise what is involved in the stages after someone hands in a prescription and waits for it? It seems to take a long time even if |'m the only one there. I joke to my wife the pharmacist is finishing their cuppa and a particular article in the paper before getting the item out of store, but know that's not the case :-) :-) So just curious what stages ARE involved!

I'm not Abraham but hope I can answer your question as I am a pharmacist. It's always so busy in a pharmacy dispensary, we are answering phone calls and emails, calling GPs, checking medication, blister packs, ordering correct stock, dealing with queries, checking prescription is safe and legal. If you think about it, even one missing tablet or giving the wrong strength can cause a huge problem so we have to be careful and thorough. Most pharmacists don't even get a proper lunch break and are overworked. And even if it's just you in the shop there is so much dispensing to do for other patients at the back, there are walk-ins to prepare and electronic prescriptions in the system queue to prepare and bag up. For example your prescription is taken but it has to be typed up and entered into the system, legally and clinically checked, dispensed. Then it has to be found on the shelf, ordered if it isn't in stock, picked and counted, labelled etc by the dispenser. Then the pharmacist has to do a second check for safety, check for interactions and see your drug history. If there is a problem with it the pharmacist then has to call your GP to fix the issue. I can assure you that your pharmacist is not just finishing their cuppa lol they are working so hard behind the scenes!

Hi, I have a dilemma. Oral antibiotics + weak benzoyl peroxide worked super well for my skin, but they gave me headaches and tinnitus that made it hard to focus at school and sleep. Because of this, I decided to quit them and just use epiduo, and I’m just wondering if that means the epiduo could work on its own as my acne appears to be just mild with one or two (after one week of quitting) spots. Is that how it works, or is my acne still classified as severe because of how it was in the past. Would epiduo work as if my acne had been mild from the start? My doctor said it is about how I feel because it might not be the antibiotics, but I just want to know because I’m staring to feel like I might just have to bare with these problems.

Hey, i really wanted to know: If you take a degree in pharmacy, (MPharm) then is there honestly a low possibility that you'll find an employer? As I'm still studying my A Levels in Maths, Biology and Chemistry and my careers advisers have advised me to alternate, as the NHS will be privatised, sooner or later as the effects of Brexit kick in :(
