MahaTikta Ghrita is a Traditional Ayurvedic Medicine in Ghrita or Ghee (Clarified Butter) form. Ghrita described in ayurveda classics are lipid-based preparations in which Ghee is boiled with prescribed juices or decoction of herbs and fine paste of herbs until the evaporation of aqueous phase transfers the contents into oily phase.
Tikta Ghrita is translated as “bitter ghee” and it is precisely this, ghee infused with the most powerful bitter herbs that Ayurveda has to offer. Due to the extreme bitterness of this medicine, MahaTikta Ghrita mainly used for treating Pitta disorders, eczema, psoriasis, rash, excessive heat in the blood, liver disorders and inflammation of all kinds.
